Fair enough 61666, you summing up was probably quite generous to the team. Just a bit harsh on Swaine who did little wrong today and looked decent. There again he's only motivated by playing for a National League slot somewhere else next season. Wishart had a fair match but no better and probably worth signing again Rob Swaine has been our best player for some time now. The management have brought the playing side of the club down to a new level. No tactics, just talk. They should go. Just before the whistle for the start of the game our team were wandering around shaking hands and waving to friends in the crowd. Braintree were warming up and doing drills. If we are to have a reasonable season 2019/20 we should let the "full time professionals" go (Powell, Turgott, Amaluza, Lewington, Romain, Wishart, Cass, Ollie, Phillips, Taylor, etc.), and get rid of this charade running the playing side of the club immediately. It doesn't work. HH looks lost, poor man. Show him the door. John Still seems like a nice old chap. Maybe he could edit the programme. We need a young manager with modern ideas, a young squad and a new start. because that worked so well earlier this season?

Where are those who repeatedly said give Richards and Embery a chance, what have we got to lose? We gave them a chance, we lost. Not saying it was their fault but in a bucket load of mediocrity they, particularly Richards, failed to shine. I was waiting for this. So other players perform like 💩 every week and we are going to pick fault with Richards? Yes he was no better or worse than the others but let’s just write him off on the basis of 1 game 😡😡

It was on the basis of 2 games actually. As ever I try to pick my words carefully and I believe he "failed to shine" against Bromley as well.
The original post was more about those who repeatedly called for Richards, basically because he had to be better than what we were seeing and would thereby improve the team if selected, than about Richards himself.
As other posters have previously commented 5 different sets of management teams this season have seen Richards close-up in training and not picked him. The performances against Bromley and Braintree might be an indicator to the watching public why - but there again they might not.

I don't want to be controversial so I have to put your question to the side for the moment. This set up is not going to do anything for our playing squad. HH cannot manage. John Still might have been alright in the past but must want to retire. He doesn't sit in the dugout to watch the team he is supposed to be "managing" (an important element here). Jay took responsibility. He made mistakes selecting his squad and brought together a number of lazy players. Harry took responsibility. He got rid of the lazy players. He was terribly unlucky that Turgott, our goal-scorer, got injured. He was sacked, unjustly, soon afterwards. Walton took responsibility (with the other chap). With retrospect (Yes, I know) he should have been the permanent manager because he really wanted it and could have grown into it. When he was in charge we won a few, had a chance of surviving and morale was excellent. Enter The Comic Duo. Disaster, bottom, a couple of lucky wins (Barnet and someone else), massive losses, players' morale rock bottom, some incredible poor signings/loans. Are we really stuck with them next season?

Think you might have managed to achieve that even without apparently wanting to.

I expect HH and JS to clear out 80% of these players as soon as possible after the final whistle next week.
It makes me laugh that so many of this squad think they are too good for NLS even though they have got us there :-)..
How can this squad keep producing such dire football..? It is a feat in itself.

Not sure I agree with much of the above, but everyone is entitled to their opinion. An interesting move on the Maidstone United website is that Simon Walton is currently second for man of the match. Five minutes, one kick of the ball. As there is no option to vote 'nobody', other than not voting at all, this seems like a good plan. Get voting everyone!

I was referring to the wolvestone post, not the one above - though getting rid of only 80% might seem a bit low after today.

What a load or rubbish we saw today. Braintree were crap and we were crapper. The only bit of decent football today was played by the kids at half time.
I keep seeing people saying that the players are looking at keeping their options open for next season, really there is another nl or league team interested in signing any of the players on that pitch today, if so those teams need to have bloody good look at themselves as none of the players (killip excepted) on that pitch today are good enough, piss poor attitudes or lack of talent and or ability.
Ref didn't get a lot wrong, he was spot on for the pen, however i think it should have been retaken as the player stopped in his run up. He also pissed me off adding 8 minutes at the end of the game, blow your whistle and end our misery for crying out loud.

Should be able to vote for smithy and the first aid team as that was the only professional expertise on show today.

Isn't the current law that you can't stop your run up within 'kicking distance' of the ball?
And if you recall Zavon Hines' penalty for us last season the repercussion of infringing that law is a free kick to the defending team and a booking for the penalty taker (or technically, non-taker )

So wolvestone, you are hoping that our owners who have invested in JS2/HH for next season will cut their losses and run for the hills.
Unless you have around £6,000,000 going spare that you wish to invest in our club, I'm guessing that your words will fall on deaf ears.
Must admit today was worrying, seeing our players strolling around pre match, whilst Braintree were having a proper work out.
Just seemed to go sleep-walking into the match and this time it didn't get any better.
Hakan claims that he's seen plenty of improvement during his time with the club, but I'm not able to find a single supporter who agrees with that view.
Whatever happens, I can't see more than a handful of players being retained for next season.
But unlike wolvestone, I have a lot more faith, hope and charity in our current management team and will be purchasing an early bird season ticket next week.

Unlike Nick I have no faith in the management at the moment. Can they confirm that this pile of shit will be replaced before I purchase my early bird ticket. Have they done anything to change anything since the clown left. If I have missed anything please let me know as this performance was as bad as anything I have seen this season and I am sick of excuses.

In an effort to cheer you up, please consider that this team was inherited. The additions were in order to limp to the end of the season. Please judge them based on the team they put together for next season. Try and ignore Mr Kneejerk wolvestone.
