Meanwhile, back in the real world:
Depends on your definition of "we".
John Still has been, to my mind, specific that he is using his scouting network for the benefit of his current employer. This will be the same network that was scouting for Barnet at the turn of the year. Setting up and funding a, apparently much needed, scouting network for Maidstone United will take time and money.
Similarly as I understand it we are in the same position with a goalkeeping coach as we were with Jay Saunders at the start of the season. Our "first choice goalkeeper" is also the goalkeeping coach.
It's clear that the first team support infrastructure was not appropriate for a successful National League side and it will take time and resources to put that in place.
When Burnley got relegated under Sean Dyche from the Premier League they invested their parachute payments mostly into the infrastructure and not into players attempting to get back into the Premier League fit to stay there. We haven't got the parachute payments.
As for "receive huge investment or new owners". What will new owners change that isn't 'huge investment'? Please explain why anyone other than the much derided on here and elsewhere "sugar daddy" owner would "invest" because I can't see where their financial return comes from.
Offer Paul Doswell the opportunity to put his money into MUFC as our new Head Coach reporting to JS2 with HH as his assistant?
Why not? we seem to like having a lot of coaches..........against Sutton we had five..............JS2, HH, SW, CL and someone called Anwar Uddin? When did he sneak in???
Zero chance of that happening.
He quit as manager because hes fed up travelling to Sutton 3-4 times a week from his home in Winchester. He will want something local like Havant, Aldershot or even return to Eastleigh.
