I don’t support the Wheeler out call. Yet.
There are positives about Harry. He has a coaching team around him who hopefully aren’t just ‘yes’ men. He works hard and has a plan for individual and team improvement. But he’s also a defensive manager and the team’s scoring record reflects that.
If Harry is big enough now is the time for Bill Williams, Tristan Lewis and some handpicked others including a couple of insightful fans, to be called in to offer some very frank and constructive advice about how he can turn things around. He doesn’t have to accept the advice but he’ll have the chance to think about things in a different way and hopefully make some changes.
Most fans had a strong loyalty to Jay for much or all of his time at the club. None of us really cares about Harry himself. But all of us, including Harry, want Maidstone to turn around their fortunes quickly. If he doesn’t do this and results don’t change then the cries for him to be sacked will be almost unanimous by New Year.
Bringing in another manager is no guarantee of improvement. If a person is available to coach in the fifth division halfway through the season it’s fair to say their abilities must, at least, be questionable. We don’t want to be a club that starts talking about sacking the manager every time we get into difficulties On the other hand it’s for Harry to prove he’s not just a young man with misplaced self-belief but that Maidstone are lucky to have snared a major talent at the start of his career. The jury’s out at the moment and if I was Harry I wouldn’t be looking forward to when they return to the courtroom.

It doesn't take two minutes to tell the players to hoof it long and high. As for his coaching team they are obviously more useless than he is as performances show and what the f**k us the shrink doing? Does he go to individual players and say "Aaah did the mean nasty man drop you and you thought you were so good but your not because you can only kick the ball 40 yards up field. Oh diddums don't cry I'll make it all better and then the nasty man will like you again" 👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀spaceman says waste of space just like the rabbit👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀👨🚀

What is wrong with some of you on here??
You wanted Saunders out and got your wish.
We got a new manager in and now you want him out too as there has been a big turnover in players, but we're not competing in the top half
If you get your wish now and Wheeler goes, then the new manager will come in and whose to say that we will improve under him and I'm betting that you'll turn on that manager just as quickly if we don't start winning games by three goals every week.
Look at teams like Southampton, Sunderland and Leeds who chop and change managers so often that they have all been in an absolute state.
Imo we need stability and that means persevering with Harry whether we like it or not i can't see the owners changing anything this season and if we do go down i fully expect us to keep Harry, there is something there Imo and whilst the football may not be the tiki-taka Barcelona style i think it we soon be effective and bring us results.
Reading this forum and the Facebook group sometimes i think I'm looking at the wrong Mufc as it all sounds like the whiny Manchester United fans, we got fans who if we signed de gea, Kane, Messi and ramos and let everyone in for free would still be moaning and whinging.

Just seen the highlights and OMG it really did seem that it was route one football. So many times they could of passed the ball on the floor but instead no composure and hoofed it. Pathetic football.

I have a radical proposition to discuss Why don't we stop all the calls for change and support the team. If you people think this is bad you probably didn't "experience" watching us at Ashford I for one am grateful for the Owners involvement and if they are reading any of this stuff on here they must wonder why they bothered. I agree its not good to watch at the moment and if i am honest i don't really enjoy it that much. I compensate by increasing the alcohol content of my pre match beer and this makes the match day experience more bearable A change now is patently stupid and our only chance of staying up is Uniting and encourage the Manager and players

Ok well I tried not to comment but it,s too hard to ignore all this nonsense, have you people who,s calling for Harry,s scalp looked at the table, we have a game in hand and if we win that then we are out of the relegation zone an everyone smiles again. Lets look around at who would replace Harry an there is a very limited number of managers available. Lets forget Saunders as that would be a massive mistake. DM from Ebbsfleet is probably too expensive for us an also I dont think he would want to enter back into football with our current position. Not many managers would want to travel on a daily basis to work for us,so to replace HW is easier said then done plus he,s contracted until the end of the season. So let,s get behind the club as supporters should.

The last game I enjoyed was Barnet away where we played some lovely football. I would say this was not route one Boot it over the top! We defended as a unit and broke with the ball on the floor. There was plenty of off the ball movement with Powel and Paxman able to express themselves with Walton doing the ugly stuff. The question has to be why Harry is not using the players he has signed in the way they play best!?? On paper we now seem to have a huge squad if you count those out on loan. I would like to see Loza or Coker back to play on the opposite wing to Shields. We have a thin pitch, but every other team that play us use the space so why can’t we??
With our pitch and the ball on the floor I think the following lineup would be hard to deal with at home....
4-4-2 Worner
Phillips, Swaine, WDH, Wishart Loza, Paxman, Powell, Shields Robinson, Cassidy
I would use Turgott for Cassidy, but with that team and the ball on the floor playing attacking football it could be beautiful to watch and we may even score a few goals!!
Or we could continue to play like we have a Sunday league pitch with zero passing ability! Winning ugly is fine, losing ugly is what we are doing.

That game in hand is against Maidenhead on 8th January. For once, I am prepared to call it a "must win" game!

So many supporters describe our match day experience these days as "not being good to watch". Mr Wheeler likes a defensive line up and is dismissive of the short passing game, preferring graft to craft from our midfielders, believing that hoofing the ball forward is the key to destroy opposition defenses. Harry will be judged by results. How long will the owners give him ? End of the year or end of the season ? My bet is on the end of the season for better or for worse. Despite what's happening on the field of play I still have a hunch and a lot of wishful thinking that Harry will turn it around.

Perhaps you should look at the league table cos to get out of the relegation zone we need 4 points and if we get those by winning our game in hand the other teams might just object.

[br Some of us didn't want Wheeler from the outset but we're willing to give him his chance so far he has dished up a plate of top grade manure. We have a squad of players that I'm sure would be winners on a regular basis if they were managed and coached correctly and I am sure that hoof ball is not what THEY want to play. I hope you are right about results coming soon but please don't hold your breath.

KENT ONLINE Maidstone have signed Alex Finney on a two-year deal. Finney had lots of interest following his release by QPR but decided United are the club for him. The defender had a brilliant season on loan at the Gallagher Stadium from Rangers, winning the manager's and supporters' player-of-the-year award. At 22, the former Leyton Orient and Bolton man wanted to explore his options but says Maidstone have a "special place in my heart". News of his signing is sure to go down well with Stones fans who have been desperate to see him return.
This clip is from just a few months ago but rumour has it that it will be updated today. Alex was dropped from the squad for last Saturday, but his form this season has been below par.

There's got to be some continuity, some loyalty - something meaningful to support. It's not just about results - football, certainly at our level, has never been just about that.

Agreed. Who's your favourite player - Turgott (injured), Pax (doesn't always get picked)? Maybe Will or George for getting stuck in? I'm feeling sad but detached about the current situation. It's been downhill since we got the primary school club badge.

If Finney signs for a club that plays a particular playing style that includes a degree of thinking and passing, he should do well.
