KENT ONLINE Maidstone have signed Alex Finney on a two-year deal. Finney had lots of interest following his release by QPR but decided United are the club for him. The defender had a brilliant season on loan at the Gallagher Stadium from Rangers, winning the manager's and supporters' player-of-the-year award. At 22, the former Leyton Orient and Bolton man wanted to explore his options but says Maidstone have a "special place in my heart". News of his signing is sure to go down well with Stones fans who have been desperate to see him return. This clip is from just a few months ago but rumour has it that it will be updated today. Alex was dropped from the squad for last Saturday, but his form this season has been below par. WDH and Pax the next to go? Doesn't feel like my club any more. There's got to be some continuity, some loyalty - something meaningful to support. It's not just about results - football, certainly at our level, has never been just about that. In todays modern world there is no such thing as loyalty at a football club anymore, they are all run as a business, the only people loyal to any club are the fans. Players will all jump ship if they get a better offer an the same can be said for managers as well. Remember we almost lost Saunders. So those days of players staying at one club etc are a mere distant memory I,m afraid to say.

Ok well I tried not to comment but it,s too hard to ignore all this nonsense, have you people who,s calling for Harry,s scalp looked at the table, we have a game in hand and if we win that then we are out of the relegation zone an everyone smiles again. Lets look around at who would replace Harry an there is a very limited number of managers available. Lets forget Saunders as that would be a massive mistake. DM from Ebbsfleet is probably too expensive for us an also I dont think he would want to enter back into football with our current position. Not many managers would want to travel on a daily basis to work for us,so to replace HW is easier said then done plus he,s contracted until the end of the season. So let,s get behind the club as supporters should. Perhaps you should look at the league table cos to get out of the relegation zone we need 4 points and if we get those by winning our game in hand the other teams might just object. Sword it,s early in the morning an my morphine is still swirling around apologies if my maths were wrong I thought 3 points got us out the bottom 4.

After watching the highlights it wasn't as bad as I suspected. We looked on par first half in terms of chances created.
When Barrow played at the Gallagher they were probably the best passing side i've seen in recent years but we beat them and after the game I remember Ian Evatt saying how sick he was of all the compliments he gets of great football but without results. Seeing the highlights shows they have changed their approach as they seemed to be as direct as we were, the difference being they have adapted to that style and have calculated passes with runners off the front man. None of their chances came from neat passing in midfield, so you CAN play direct and get results but we just need to find out to do it with what we have.
Was Swaine any better than Will has been this season? He seemed to get way to close and got turned a couple of times that resulted in a near goal and taking a booking for the team. Will got turned too easily for Oldham's second goal but i'm not sure Swaine is a better defender.

I had to keep a note pad by the bed and write down every time I took my medication - even then I got confused. How anyone takes that stuff for 'fun' is beyond me. Good for weght loss though - no wonder junkies are all so skinny!

That looks like yet more BS. Tamplin's put the club up for sale and they've got to cut the budget before the buyer will agree the deal.

Maybe the players leaving for the Ricay will be two more of Jays signings - probably Pax and Finney. Harry certainly seems on a mission to eradicate all remnants of Jays reign. Pax leaving would be a disaster for us but probably great for him and Finney going would be very welcome. I empathises with others comments that, this isn't my club anymore - just too many changes in too short a space of time - and we are playing worse. But, everyone says give Harry time and apparently its too early to criticise him and apparently its all very nasty and whinging to do so, so it seems we must put on our blinkers and forget free speech for now and let Harry do what Harry will do and say nothing until the "go easy on Harry brigade" decide to start whinging in a few days/weeks/months time if nothing changes and we are staring down the barrel of relegation. Such is life, and football, but its all very sad to waych the Stones rapid and ongoing current demise and say nothing. Ho-Hum.

Maybe the idea is we take two of their higher earners who they are desperate to get off the books, why they get 2 of our ''cheaper'' squad players?? people like Tagbash, Muldoon, Durojaiye, Jack Richards etc etc
