What do you want, a personal play by play description?
Have you bothered to read the Match Report on the OS which talks of using 3-5-2 formation? Or, now here's a really radical thought, you could actually attend an away game ! There was certainly plenty of room for you.
Worgan made 3 good saves, without which our performance - and the scoreline - would not have looked so good. We were better than we've been recently but 'bloody brilliant' we were not.
I along with JDL would like a play by play description by someone who was there, can't attend many matches now, unfortunately, but would be interested to know what we did different here to say, Tranmere, for instance, where the scoreline was a reverse of this one. Were Torquay shit or did we play well? Have we got a new system? And if so, I'd like to know. How the f**k did we win 4 _ 0 at Torquay, when we only escaped with a draw when we were there a few weeks ago. Fair enough.
My response was specifically targeted at jdl and very much not a jibe at those (excluding jdl) who couldn't go yesterday. Most of the time I appreciate how fortunate I am that I can currently attend all matches - sometimes the performances / results make me question my use of 'fortunate' though.
Tactics aren't my strongest area, but we played five defenders and pretended two of them were in midfield whilst giving Worgan extra cover. Personnel wise we tried the same at MK Dons and we know how successful that was. Torquay strikers aren't close to the same class but still came close to scoring on a few occasions.
Torquay's manager has 'admitted' with hindsight to picking the wrong team, he replaced a number of loanees they are likely to lose shortly with squad players to see if they were up to it, and they weren't.
The sending off helped and if Torquay had scored before Pigs got the third the momentum might have shifted and we might have been hanging on. However they didn't and we never looked like conceding 2, let alone 3, with a man advantage.
And, by the way, the mighty Stones managed an entirely undeserved 1-0 win at Torquay a few weeks back and not a draw.

What i cannot understand is why we only had 23 at the game but the total of votes for the mom now stands at 80.

not taken as a jibe, just me being a smartarse, and of course we did manage 3 points there a few weeks back, and not a draw as i first suggested, made all the more embarrasing for me as i actually went to that game. nice bit of detail about the match, by the way. how did seth do in his new role? was tommy wraight ok? nice to see him get his name on the score sheet. did we look comfortable in a 3 5 2?

What i cannot understand is why we only had 23 at the game but the total of votes for the mom now stands at 80. The only 'fact' about the away attendance we know is that Torquay said there were 23 people admitted through the 'away' turnstile.
Not all 23 travelled from Kent as I was with two who live and work in Devon. One of whom is a Stones fan in exile the other it would be a stretch to class as a football supporter at all, let alone of the mighty Stones.
Similarly it would be a stretch to suggest that there were 80 present with any connection to the Stones, supporters, players, hangers on etc that does give conclusive proof that the MoM vote does take input from those who haven't actually watched the match, something we may have guessed from previous polls.

it's pretty sad but a mate of mine always votes at away matches that he rarely ever attends he listens to StonesLive, match reports, Jay's interview etc and votes for whoever sounds as though they played half decently I don't suppose he's alone in this bizarre behaviour

I always used to vote for Tom Mills, regardless of how he had played or whether or not I'd actually seen the game.
This season I am bereft.

how did seth do in his new role? Do you mean the scorer of our first goal? Well it was announced at the ground that he scored it. Wasn't our impression at the time but it was a long way away and the scorer did at least have a '6' on his back which could have been mistaken for a '16'. For me he's not back to his best but looked comfortable enough but the opposition weren't the best though. was tommy wraight ok? Can't actually remember him doing anything other than scoring and he should have been hauled through the streets and publically flogged if he'd missed it ! did we look comfortable in a 3 5 2? I'd say its 'work in progress'. A bit like my answer about Seth the 'poor' opposition helped. At least the two Alex's are fairly quick and mobile, Magnus isn't ! I rarely stand behind the goal but thought Alex Finney was left 1 on 1 shepherding, or not, the ball out quite a lot of times.

So, to sum up, we tried a new defence-oriented formation, which helped us win the game 4-0. The Beast isn't very mobile. Wraight scored a goal my Gran could have put in. And Torquay were giving a few squad players a run-out because this was only a Trophy game.
Doesn't quite match the on-air orgasm Stones Live were having...
Oh, and Tom Mills was my man of the match.
