No I don't. Maidstone weren't promoted to the Southern League, they were switched from the 'shamateur' Isthmian League where they used to play with Bromley! But you were chatting on about the other teams moving up and down |

Ignoring NWS for obvious reasons I think Daveu is closer to the truth regarding the Alliance.Next season should be all the more interesting for having seven divisions at step 4 to match the 14 divisions at step five Furthermore no division will contain more than 22 teams which means that although 2 will be promoted 4 will be relegated. As for NWS why doesn't he try to get back on the Tonbridge forum from where I can remember him being dumped a few years back?

Dave is spot on - that was the beginnings of JT's plan to get us in the League:
Move us to a semi-pro league
Combine the N and S Premiers to form new '5th division'
Get automatic promotion from the Alliance/Conference to the FL
And it worked - leaving aside a few minor technicalities...
