Speaking of bad pitches Hendon have one of the worst 3G pitches I've seen in non league football....If anything it looks worse than Ashford's pitch in pre season.

If that's true then they will have to sort out the problems this summer if they want to carry on playing on it next year.

How can a pitch be laid wrong? Must have skimpt on materials Bad surveying previous to build, land drainage etc Dickheads laid it
Any other thoughts?

The predominant rumour is that they didn't have the money to pay the company doing the pitch so ended up getting a local builder in to to do a bodge job to finish it off.

All the material cost 😱 + local builder bill against pay for the proper job to be done all over again. Farcical.

"United's Don Crosbie, supported by a group of club helpers, installed the pitch in the summer of 2015, with the work complicated by delays blamed on Operation Stack and problems with Customs."
Makes it sound like a DIY bodge job done with cheap B&Q tools.

Ashford's appeal regarding their promotion application has been upheld. Just need to get the pitch sorted and win the league now.
