Dear Daveu, That is good to hear. I don't think it was intentional at Plainmoor, just not enough thought went in to it. My view is the disabled and special needs are indeed special supporters. No one makes more effort to attend a match. Get them sorted first and then us able bodied. I can tell you that all the Torquay supporters I spoke to thought Maidstone was a great trip. I made it a weekend of culture in visiting the Flowerpot before the game and then next day went to Leeds Castle. The only low point was that the girlfriend threw a strop because we couldn't find our way out of the maze. The Flower Pot is a fine pub with a decent array of ales. I think the maze at Leeds Castle is quite new (last 20 years or so) because when I last went you could see the middle from the edge so getting lost wasn't really a problem. Regarding the disabled spaces, I can see how it's quite easy for them not to be fully weatherproof. By their very nature the almost have to be located at the front, so unless there is a massive overhang on the roof they can definitely be a victim of an unfavourable wind direction.

Can see why ref did not gives us the penalty, as their player might (maybe just) got the ball first. Cannot see how their penalty could be given. Still, justice done in the end. Good to see a bit of swagger after our second goal. Before Christmas, quite likely the game would have gone against us, but hopefully the tide is starting to turn now. If it has (and as the new spine of the team starts to gel), then I would not be surprised to see us give somebody a right tonking before too long. And just how good would that be??? Course, we could do that and still lose 2-0, but just sense a bit of optimism at last. Fingers crossed. Rabbit foot, garlic, silver bullet, shamrock, etc etc also all to hand.

I did. I was referring to standing there for ten mins only for the ref call it off. Games don't get cancelled if they have not started. Fixtures do. Fixtures don't get cancelled unless there is no expectation of them being played at a later date. The correct word however you want to dress it up is "postponed". Definition of fixture "A sporting event arranged to take place on a particular date" Definition of game "a form of competitive activity or sport played according to rules" "an activity that one engages in for amusement" "a complete episode or period of play, ending in a final result" Please note that the definition of fixtures includes 'a particular date'. If it is decided that the fixture cannot be played on that date then it is thus cancelled and a new fixture arranged. You cannot postpone something to be played on 'a particular date' and play it on a different date 'on that particular date' It is a different date and thus a different fixture. A game can only be cancelled if it has actually started because prior to that it does not exist as a game only a promise to play a game ergo a fixture. I hope that helps.

The first to be awarded this year. You can now add this title to your signature, should you so please. Jdl will be upset he hasn't received an award yet but rest assured all of you, there is plenty of time and many a title to claim.

I disprove it with those tricky little things called facts and you think I have 'lost'. Disbelief. Can I just ask where your '99% of people' quote comes from. Is this a verifiable piece of research or more 'post-truth' rubbish just designed to 'win' a debate. Strangely, you seem hooked into me 'losing' a debate in which you had nothing to do with. That is really weird. Double disbelief I didn't have you marked down as one of the numpties seeking entertainment from me in the post-pmh era. I guess nothing should surprise though. I would love to go back to making inane and uncontroversial comments but seemingly there is growing demand for the NWS of yesteryear.

Sorry you're eligible for a yearly award as you win it daily! That can only occur in your - once again - 'post truth' world. I cannot win a daily award for pointless arguing on here. I don't post every day. Now make IS's tea and stop your pointless arguing. He's been waiting a few hours now.
