I,d swap him for Coyle all day long Watt plays in the Ryman South so that says it all really. Would play Lokko instead of Coyle though. Makes no difference what league watty plays in I think he,s still better than Coyle

Loved Watty, but last season Coyle stole the shirt off him and was fantastic. As such, wouldn't see Steve making it in the National?

Worgan is such a Stones legand!! I really wouldn't swap him for anyone in this league... Performances like yesterday just makes it even more worrying as to what we would be like if ever Worgs got injured or when he retires

great stuff, Stones TV just seems to get better and better highlighted excellent play from the boys watching some of the chances going begging again just a shade frustrating and yes Coyle was clearly fouled leading to the Torquay goal (but it was still weak defending) the penalty against us looked soft at the time and even more dubious on replay I made Delano Sam-Yorke my number 2 for MoM after Lewis and didn't he look good on camera ! it was a good watch

Torquays penalty was never a penalty their player kicked his own heel and fell over

I think you'll find that was both central defenders then. Coyle out muscled for their goal and Ach gave away the penalty. You do realise there were 3 centre backs yesterday?

Very dodgy pen - he just seemed to trip or throw himself down - compare that to when Paxman was scythed down near the end! In fact I thought they had a better call for a pen in the first half when their No 25 was bundled over.
We sit down the other end, so I didn't realise how close Flish came to scoring - twice! Looks like he's back on form - or is it just that, with the new players, he's able to play his own game, without having to be all over the pitch? Ditto(ish) with BJT - he is now free to do what he's so good at. Another fine example of how well he works with Mills too, with that long pass forward that so nearly resulted in a goal. I'd love to see that partnership develop.
And their scorer clearly pushes Coyle out of the way on the build up to their goal. That's what it looked like at the time, but it's even clearer on the video. Once again, the standard of refereeing was well below what's needed at this level (not to mention the linesmen - the one at our end was so late with his offsides!) Also, much as I don't want to criticise Worgan, especially after some of his saves yesterday, I think he would have saved that one if he hadn't been so far off his line. He always seems to have a couple of weird moments in every game.

Looking at the highlights I cannot understand how the ref did not give a penalty for the challenge on Paxman in the box. The ref was in such a good position. Is the standard of refereeing superior in the National league to the Ryman?

The referees have little if any accountability in my view. And to build on the argument, what happened to advantage to the attacker?
I you dive your a cheat, and are booked.
Stay on your feet like Sterling did Saturday, you get nothing, then the opposition equalise...

We all criticise referees but I don't believe a ref deliberately does not give a penalty. Anyone who has been on any kind of referee course will know it is all about angles. On this forum we have people commenting from four sides of the ground and from hundreds of different angles and from watching it on TV after the event. The referee was looking in one direction with one pair of eyes and he might have seen something different in that split second... of course it was a pen looking back. I thought he had quite a good game.

Spot on steve with your post an no pun intended there, everyone seems to forget we are all biased towards us being awarded a penalty, but if the guy with the whistle says no then so be it. The ref gets one look at it an has to make a split second call.
