Ebbsfleet look in big trouble, today's defeat against Dagenham makes it 7 defeats in the last 10 games. Shit. Just when I was having a good day...

Thought I’d check in on the early applicants for the privilege of National League membership. Surprised at Sutton and Tranmere. Colchester and Doncaster would bring big modern stadiums. Has Forest Green’s owner decided environmental activism is more fun than football? What’s going on at wealthy Salford? Bradford City’s attendances averaging over 17,000. A lesson for all you glory hunters,it's one thing getting to the promised land and another thing staying there.

Have they learnt nothing from the myriad failing clubs? First law of football - pay the taxman!

Better still, pay your staff. Fleet, Southend and others take note.

I've just got round to reading my Chesham programme, a few good articles in it. One was a fan's report on their away match at Cray Wanderers in the FA Trophy at Hayes Lane the week before our match. He bemoaned the fact that in the bar lager was costing £6 plus (having paid a little over £2 at the local 'Spoons pre-match), but I was gobsmacked that the refreshment bar was charging £9 for a hot dog, and a staggering £12 for a burger (with no onions). Is this a ploy to get Bromley supporters to lose weight? It's certainly another reason to add to those several contributors on here have to stop them ever going there again!

They could give away free food and beer and I still wouldn't go there.

Used to be an OK place to visit, but there's little to attract away fans back these days. The curse of NL membership?
