And they lead at Halifax tonight, so currently we are bottom of the NL...

Yep and with both Oldham and Yeovil having four games in hand on us, that means we are about 10 points from safety. That FA trophy game at Eastleigh is pretty much all that is left of our season now.

Scunthorpe win so thats us bottom and sadly thats where we will stay for the rest of the season. I'm afraid the table never lies,we are there on merit. I've only seen 3 games this year and they were all atrocious. I never wanted to come up in the first place but even I didn't think it would be this bad. Mathematically and using probability laws we have now an 11% chance of survival, this jumps to 16% should the bottom 8 clubs, other than us, draw against each other when matched up. Scunny's win tonight will not help them much as they are in as much trouble as us so ots a case of who the other 2 joining us will be.

Cheers for that swordy.
Before I read your post, I was feeling a bit down in the dumps about Stones chances of avoiding relegation.
Now you've just made me feel worse, much worse.

We are down so there is no point throwing more money at this season. We are by far the worst 'team' in this very tough league and to be bottom having played more games is a little embarrassing.
Save money..build up a budget war chest for next season..book some decent preseason games for a change and give some of the fringe players a chance to earn their wages.
Let's just tick the games off and think about sunnier times.

Personally, I can't stand the thought of another Clown season - turning up week after week, knowing you're going to watch an awful game and see us lose another three points. And being the laughing stock of the league - and the county.
Even if we are down, I still want us to show some spirit and fight. Gives us something to look forward to each week - and give us some pride back.

Aldershot won't have many easier games this season.

Maybe Dartford reserves, or Chatham's under 16s?

Would love if we had a cheeky friendly on French soil like previous years planned in secretly this summer...
