Wrexham refused permission to live stream tomorrow's game against Gateshead by the National League Committee.

Odd how things work out - Dorking have shipped 7 in the last two games and now have the worst goals against in the league. Who would have predicted that a couple of weeks ago?
And we've gone from doom and gloom to only missing a playoff place on goal difference!
Early days, obviously, but it's looking like it's going to quite a while before this league settles down into any sort of pattern.
As Hak always says - one game at a time.

Don't think we should be talking about the play offs, not least because thats totally unrealistic. Avoiding relegation is the main priority, achieving anything near a mid table finish would be very good imo. I think all the teams we have played, bar Wrexham, will struggle to manage top half. So far is so good, but no need to get carried away. [

Personally, I don't think we'll be worrying about relegation, the current squad is good enough to avoid the drop, and can only get better. I think top half/mid table will be a good result for us, and is achievable (providing we can stop the leaks at the back). But, had we had players like Luque and Binnom-Williams available from the start, who knows...

I don't think the fact that we have given up chances like we have is down to personnel, apart from the Dorking game where we had some individual shockers. It's the way we play.
Wingers who are very offensive. No real holding midfielder who just sits and is destructive. It puts lot of pressure on the wingers to work very hard. Also, last year, it pushed FBs back and we had very good territory and kept up pressure for intense spells.
It means we will have a lot of goals in games. It also means we might see many draws. It's a interesting strategy against the stronger teams and we might take a few more gubbins but it should also give us a good chance to pick up wins against the bottom half.
Jay's approach was much more pragmatic, with Stu Lew and Reece and it also had it merits. If you play that way and have a stellar forward or two, then you can win games that way as well but it was pretty dire when results started going against us.
I don't think we will see us being a tight team. That's why we need a good keeper and some great last ditch defenders like we have!

There has not been an attendance under 1,000 at any NL game anywhere, so far this season. Boreham Wood have been close on 1,026 and Gateshead too on 1,100ish. Hopefully, despite the formidable distance, we can help avoid this happening for the first time on Saturday, at one of our games.

They usually have more away support than home fans !

Looks like a pretty feisty game at Wrexham 2-1 at half time but Gateshead have been down to 10 men since the 29th minute

The way he plays, it's like having a 5th defender!

I’m certainly pleased Hakan stuck by his guns and now has two quality keepers to choose from. Hadler will get his chance at some stage.
