Some sauce for you: www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53086548Well done to Barrow. But the BBC piece still has too many 'ifs' and 'buts' - even now the NL still doesn't seem to know exactly what it's doing! And I still don't understand the point of the play-offs - three months later, behind closed doors, and (presumably) with quite different teams, who won't have had time to train or get match-fit. It will be a lottery. But at least Fleet should be going down - even if only three go down: PPG: Fleet - 1.07 7 Maidenhead - 1.07 9. Relegated by the third decimal place!!* (*On the assumption that my maths passes the Oxford test...)

Also an inferior goal difference, so a bit more clear cut than however many thousandths of a point.

Reactions on the Ebbsfleet forum range from stoic acceptance to deranged conspiracy theories. Bit like reading here would be in similar circumstances.

I like to think that in the same circumstances, this forum would demonstrate more gravitas and focus on rationale and informed debate

When we were denied the Kent League title by 0.063 points on ppg when Faversham (I think) folded, there was no comment at all on this forum.

Up in NLN Blyth Spartans who under normal circumstances would have been relegated have announced they are slashing next years budget so that they are able to survive. They will not be the last team do so.

The other week boreham wood melt, i mean owner hunter was complaining and whinging that he had had to take out a second mortgage on his house and that he spent £125k to allow wages for players up to and including the playoffs.
Today boreham wood released their season ticket prices for next season, £149 also that it was limited to 500 people, a good deal for the fans taking the piss limited to 500 they don't get that for many home games and that includes away support.
What the last few weeks have shown though is that, that club are no way close to being financially viable.

Seem to remember Jamar hails from East Anglia and KL a team doing well last season. Good luck to him.
