Working OK now.
Weirdest resignation letter I've ever read:
“I will dispense with all the normal self congratulatory cliches, history will decide if our custodianship had merit or not.
“It is time for the town and the clubs supporters to embrace the new path forward, guided by Paul Hornby. His vision is, I believe, one that is worthy of support, but I will leave it to him to spell that out. It feels like the right transition at the right time.
“Running a football club is interesting. It is something akin to a combination of spiritual adulation married to a perpetual public flogging. It is however, addictive in that it is rarely boring, and there are always many subjects for debate. It is far more complex than I ever imagined. Paul has already seen a lot of the mistakes we made in close proximity and so hopefully he will begin with an advantage.
“As time passes, I will realize how much I truly loved the experience, though it is a little soon for that at the moment."
Takes reading between the lines to a whole new level...

In other words - I am a snowman who has melted away under the intense scrutiny of being in the public eye. I wish I had the constitutional fortitude of a crocodile. This would mean that I had a thick skin and could withstand all criticism. I don't and cannot handle the heat.

BJT is a tidy player with a good end product.

Tbf I quite liked him as a player (what about his goal in the play-off) and he was also a very handy wing back. Just not sure how popular he was in the dressing room but the club has moved on.

Interesting to see that Jai Reason has now signed for Dover. Tbf this is one player that I was surprised Jay released in preference to other lesser players he kept or signed up.

It could be a lot worse...
Most teams spend most of the season in and around the same part of the table. One or two manage a dramatic climb - this season's notable success being Salford, who went from 21st to 1st in just 12 weeks - but a few end up having the Season from Hell. And not always the ones you might expect.
Halifax, for instance - despite spending the first 9 games of the season in the top 4, haven't won a game since August (12 games), dropping from 4th to 16th.
But that's not quite as bad as Dover - until Saturday's win against Maidenhead, they hadn't won since 14 August (14 games), when they beat H&W 4-3, their only other win this season.
Bizarrely, that win was actually quite a good result for Maidenhead too - only the second time in six games that they'd conceded less than 3 goals! In their last six games, they have let in 23 goals, scoring just 1 in return! They had managed to work their way up to 13th, but 7 games later they are in relegation.
But the award for the most dramatic Season from Hell so far goes to Chesterfield, who won their first three games and were second in the table, but haven't won a game since - 16 games without a win (even beating our record last season!). In 14 weeks they went from 1st to 20th. I bet, after last year, they thought it couldn't possibly get any worse...

You are probably right. Even then, it's far from a record though. I haven't checked, but NFU must have beaten that in the last two seasons. And my lad's boys team went a whole srason without winning! The worst I've heard was Yeovil's women's team, who had their first win in two years recently!
