Post Covid attendances not bad, from the ones I could find.
Dulwich: 1922. Eastbourne: 710. Slough: 639. Maidstone: 1805. Ebbsfleet: 1132.
Ebbsfleet a little low for a Kent derby? Not sure how they compare to previous averages.
Billericay are offering subsidised coach travel for their visit to the Gallagher.

On the subject of coaches I take it we are not running one to Chelmsford or have I missed something.

Talking of attendances, Sutton picked up their first league points away to Salford, in front of just 1460 fans. Salford can buy success, but not fans.

After relegation and covid, it seems we had our highest ever average attendance this season with 2453.

View AttachmentJust to illustrate how much attendances fluctuate and are difficult to predict - this is the attendance per home game for our best ever season: Despite the big gates around the end of the year and the clear indication that this was going to be an excellent season, attendances actually fell quite significantly after that peak, almost getting as low as they were in the bad patch earlier in the season - only climbing again quite close to the end of the season.

Would be interesting to see how a season firmly in the top half of the National League would translate into attendances. Particularly if we had enough capacity to accommodate bigger visiting clubs.

I still think of anything over 2k as a decent attendance and we only dropped below that a few times.

Was the peak the Kent derbies? It was. 2/1 Tonbridge - 3,116 and 23/1 Ebsfleet - 3,001 (curiously, both 'mid-week' games!). Without those two games (or, rather, assuming they'd been average attendances), our seasonal average would have been about 2,250 (200 less than the actual average) - even including the two big gates at the end of the season. Actually, those big gates at the end distort the figures a lot - as can be seen from my graph (above). I haven't the time to redo the averages without them at the moment, but I suspect that we would actually have had a lower average than our last full NS season. That would probably be what we'd expect, but it does illustrate that, although we get big crowds by non-league standards, we are 'stuck' at around 2,200 (NS) or 2,400 (NL) - that seems to be the level of interest in football in Maidstone. And we really need bigger averages than that to be able to hold our own in the NL (we can't expect a promotion season every year!) I would think an average of around 2,500 would be OK for now (and, remember, that's an average - many gates would need to be higher), and, long-term, to justify further squad (and stadium) improvements, we'd need to improve to something like 3,000 average gates. And that's a hell of an ask.

Wonder the difference between average NLS away support and average National League away support. The difference could boost attendances at the Gallagher.
