It's a shame we couldn't field a stronger team because the game become meaningless.
Personally I hate the sort of winding up 'banter' in this thread. Best to ignore it and not bite. We should just enjoy our current run of success snd not lord it up over snybody.
99% of our fans have no problems with Tonbridge and I genuinely wish them well, they've got some good players and decent people at their club now.
If they find success and we end up together in Conference That would be great. New Years Day should be a terrific derby. In the meantime we've got a succulent afternoon in North Wales to enjoy

We have now seen who to cherry pick next season. Not one is on a contract. The Mangels cant afford to have anyone on a contract . What club would have our Leagues joint top Scorer at the time playing without a contract.Yes you guessed right the mangels with medlock. Mangels first team is crap ex stones,im sure Jay and Nicky will have first Dibs on anyone they saw tonight.if they think any were actually any good. When Stones come knocking Mangels players come running. Cheers Mangels for showing us you're shop window. Hahaha. who can forget the worst example in non league history of a player not being on contract - one C Smalling. Who can forget the fact that ex-"mangel" Hodgson who sold him on for 10 mil paid a voluntary measly 10k after he was begged for a hand out. Who can imagine the quality of a correctly sized real grass stadium that could have been bought with a contracted chunk of that 10 mil

Last nights team line-up did not surprise me.Jay was always going to pick a weak side in comparison to the Tonbridge side and Steve McKimms great favour to switch the match would have had a bearing on the side Jay picked.Best of luck to Tonbridge in the next round and in their battle to stay in the Ryman Prem.

I don't begrudge Tonbridge a victory, this game did us a favour by allowing Parkinson to play tomorrow and they fielded a much more experienced side than us. They rested loads, we rested loads but we basically just played kids so you can't really expect them to go out there and beat blokes with many more games under their belts.
Shame to go out but right now we've got bigger fish to fry and it's the league game in January we'll be worried if we don't win.

You seem to forget that Hodgson was not just an ex-Angel, he was also at Maidstone. Our stadium cost somewhere in the region of £3m. How bigger chunk of the £10m (or £12m if you wish to be correct) do you think we were likely to get. A sell on clause of 30%-40% seems a little optimistic to me.

Nobody cares about the league cup or the Kent cup till at least the Semis. Anybody who says otherwise was probably one of the dullards who traipsed around cow fields in the County League.
Having said that it's never nice losing, especially when it's as one sided as last night.

You think it was cold at the Gallagher Stadium on Thursday night. It's currently hailing in North Wales at the moment. Hopefully a win at Wrexham tomorrow will warm us through. Good luck to the Stones. Looking forward to a cracking match.
