Was always going to be hard after playing 2 days ago. We need a run of points now in the league.

The Cup effect is going to go on for another couple of weeks at least, though.
Thursday was pretty special, but it's only the league that counts. We can't afford to lose too many games like this. And it's not just Margate, Hendon are close on our heels, and Dulwich and Leiston aren't far behind.

Due to the Wrexham game we could potentially have another 3 games cancelled Wed 3 Grays Athletic - Ryman League may offer to call the game off so we can prepare for the cup game like they done before Sat 6 Hampton & Richmond Borough - Wrexham game Tue 9 Leatherhead - potential day of a replay or the next week which would mean the Billericay game would be off Thursday was a game i will never forget & was something special....but this cup run is becoming a distraction

As far as the game went , met police are limited but as soon as they went up they shut up shop. We had the odd chance to get back into it but or final ball was as poor as I have seen this season. Couldn't really fault the effort of our team but some looked very jaded. Atmosphere was just as damp as the weather, it was almost like most of us expected it.

Not surprisingly a very flat performance today we did improve in the second half but not enough . We were far to narrow untill the changes were made the Met were strong but a bit slow a fresh Stones team would have overran them for sure. I would like to have seen Akrofi pace a bit earlier because unsurprisingly there were to many tired bodys today someone like Robinson might have a bit of joy out wide where we never troubled them today. My motm Alex Akrofi looked most likely

Football Web Pages has it postponed on the 3rd.
If they can allow us to postpone games before Cup matches, why can't we move games afterwards???
For all we know today's loss could make the difference re automatic promotion t the end of the season.

Bradley Hudson-Odoi gave Phil Starkey in particular the run around & this was the primary reason why we lost yesterday.
Also thought Worgan was average and Miles showed Thursday match was in his system - looked half a yard slower - but all who started suffered from Thursdays game - the linesman in the first half annoyed Frannie with his " superstar jibe" - shows that being shown on TV upstages the officials.
On this showing only Brown , Davies , Godman and Greehalgh ( he needs the playing time) must be in the squad for Tuesdays match.
The rest need rest other VCD will be a nightmare next Saturday.

If that's true about the linesman, the club should report him to the FA. It's not up to officials to make derogatory remarks to players.

Was it the same linesman that I fell out with? Not looking as on of their subs first half was holding on to the ball? Total knob! edit to say dug out side!

You won vs Stevenage without Flisher throw ins, well done!

Not so sure Flisher's throw-ins would have bothered a League Two side too much, to be honest. Apart from the losing concentration for the two goals (beginning and end of the game), their defence was pretty solid.
