So then after last nights excellent display and the most memorable night for many a year, whos going to make the long trek to Wales? Brings back memeories for me during the league years, to be visiting bigger grounds again seems like it was yesterday. So much has the club been through since the football league days of old I honestly thought games like this would never happen again. The club was almost dead and burried, now the team are firmly back on the map and its exciting times to be a Stones fans again Surely we cannot take 1400 on this road trip ?!? would be nice to get a great number down there to roar the team onto a possible premiership team in the 3rd Round! Would be nice if we could actually run numerous coaches to this one off game without having to be a member of the suporters club, cue 40 pages!!!! Already looking at places to stay the night before to make a day of it on the Saturday. COYS

In the old days we would sometimes rent a train. We went all the way to Darlington on a knackered old rented diesel train and it took hours, but it was great fun

Secondly, I am intrigued to know what the travel club is. Thirdly, you can join the fan club for just £15 and all proceeds go back inot the ground. Finally, you can run your own coach if you do not like the arrangements.

I'll be going to Wrexham so that will be 2 coach trips for 25 quid even if I don't use it again this season. That can't be a bad deal can it?

It is decent value, Davy lad. I was merely echoing the sentiments aimed at those people who had not got tickets for the game last night.

The train isn't really an option as we can't get back to Maidstone, BUT, & it is a big but, if you have a superb partner or a designated driver, you could get on the 20:02 from Wrexham & end up in Chatham at 01:40.

Or you could have a nice long walk, NTS. Not a great option if Stones have been beaten.

I am going to Wrexham, hopefully on a coach. I reckon 200-300 people will join us but would be nice to think that thousands will make the journey too. What is bigger the Wrexham game or the Stevenage game last night? By the way last night was unreal, it was amazing and I will never forget what happened, especially the reaction after frannie got the winner. Bonkers f***ing mental.

Yes, you are right, as I posted in another thread, the last train from wrexham to get back to maidstone (at just gone midningt) leaves wrexham general station at 17.44. I was comming back from a birthday party in germany a few years ago, flew from muenster to amsterdam, then amsterdam to heathrow, and as the amsterdam plane was late, and signal problems on the tube, i missed the last train from victoria on the sunday night by about 30 odd seconds so had to go to chatham and get a taxi to bearsted, that cost me £25

The coach to Wrexham will probably be more than a tenner but still good value to join imusc And Binsey, if you still cant grasp why we have a travel club, there is no point trying to explain it again to you!

wel the train will cost around £100 and involves a few changes, i,e victrori by tube to euston, euston to chester, then chester to wrexham, and if one is delayed, it can have a knock on effect for your entire journey!
