I noticed he scored four goals for the u21s yesterday, although, it was in an 8-2 win! Jack has been brilliant for us and I'm sure everyone would love to have him back at Faversham in January. Unfortunately, with the way he is playing, I can see him proving his worth in a Maidstone shirt with games coming thick and fast, before then  However, I'm sure Ray and Jay will stay in close contact with each other - being good mates and everything. Just out of curiosity, we might be looking to replace Jack in the short-term and I wondered whether any of you thought it would be possible Alex Akrofi could join us on loan to get some match practice? There is a lot of resemblance between both how Alex's and Jack's careers at Maidstone have started (both young strikers, both joined at 19 years old, both got injured when settling in at the club etc). Not sure whether that will happen though because he signed from Brentwood and may want to link-up with a team closer to home (perhaps, in the Ryman North) - although, that theory doesn't really work, as he did sign for you guys in the first place! Good luck Jack and hope to see you soon. Real shame he was injured for one-month of the loan, goodness knows how many he would have scored for us if he had of been fit (although, he did make up for lost time with four against Three Bridges. Two coming in the final minutes when he couldn't run)! |

This is good news (although not for Faversham!). I'd love to see him in the first team again - and with all the Cup pressure and fixture backlog, hopefully that will happen. He'd make an excellent super-sub.
favershamlion - I'd like to see Akrofi on loan with you. He's a very exciting player, but he needs regular first team football to develop into a full first-team player. And with the squad we've got at the Gallagher at the moment, even with the fixture backlog, I can't see him getting any starts.

I would keep hold of Harris & Akrofi for now. I could see both of them starting Saturday!

Is Akrofi cup-tied for Trophy?
I know he joined us before the 1st qualifier, but, as he didn't play in that game, I wondered if he'd played in a preliminary FAT game at Brentwood.

Cheers. Wonder why we didn't play him against W&H then? That would have been an ideal game to see what he could do coming off the bench.
Come to think of it, I seem to remember someone on here mentioning he was injured. I hope this isn't true?
