Can't understand why they have let Jack Harris go. Maidstone only have 3 recognised strikers, Collins, May and Akrofi. With all the games in the coming months and the fact that Saunders play two up top. Seems strange to let a decent striker go. I guess flisher or greenhalgh can play as a striker.

Greenhouse and Flish can play as strikers too if required, so it's not as bad as all that. Maybe the lad wanted to go, you can't blame him as he has obviously enjoyed his time there and he gets a regular start.

Don't think he's had a fair crack at all. Especially disappointing when we have had to witness Jay May put in one crap performance after another.

I wasn't blaming him for going, I hope he does well as he obviously just wants to play football. I just found it odd that the let me him go, since we are going to need the strength in depth in the next few month. But if he wanted to go then we can't really stop him.

JM may not score a hat full of goals but he does hold the ball up well for others and is always a handful for defenders so I think your being rather hard on him. Harris was always going to be a back up striker, and if we'd been struggling for goals he might have got a few more games and be happy to stay and fight for a place. As it is he was always going to have an uphill battle to get in the side and as a club we always seem to do what's best for the player.

You can't be serious about Jay May (presumably you're not being so?). What a performance he turned in last night.
Jay May is a very important part of the way JS sets us up to play at the moment. his ability to win, and bring down, anything sent in the air upfield is extraordinary. He isn't so good on the ground with the ball at his feet but that doesn't have to be his strength when he can simply lay the ball off to Frannie or Flish.

Sad for us, but good for him. The way things are going there he'll be helping them into the IP for next season (although hopefully we won't be playing them!).

I completely agree with what you've said, but I'd also add that he scores a few goals too even though he's not being used in a way that gives him a bucket load of goal scoring opportunities.
