I quite like the draw. We'll easily fill the 1500 seated behind the goal, stewards normally let you stand & you can make a good noise, certainly better than our tin sheds. Their club bar is open to away fans and is situated at our end Then you have the fact they are normally the giant killers, this time the boot could be on the other foot which should gain some good media interest. Factor in that you have Westley the Wanker, his 2nd coming brought them relegation & they are not the Stevenage of old who came into the league with cream of the crop from non-league. I genuinely think we have a fighting chance, the lower reaches of League 2 is not that great, fitness could be the biggest difference. A league one side would probably turn us over easy, but this will be much closer. It is has all the makings of a great day. Great post ,i can easily see us taking there league place ,only place SFC are going is back to non -league football.

It is what it is. My preference wouldn't have been this. But....... We have a team that can get a result there. Let's take 800plus and make some noise. Let's also think how far we have come in such a short period. Life is good. Let's make it 1000 plus?

Cannot believe some people are disappointed with the draw we have a winnable tie against league opposition for the first time in decades. When we get to the 3rd round it will be " oh no we only got Burnley" " the pies are c***p and it cost me £30 quid to get in" Support the boys and enjoy the experience.

I'm still pissed off it's not east Thurrock away, because I love their ground so much.

In the old days, the club would have put on a train for a game like this.
Any chance?

I guess you are right, Beachside. I think we were getting greedy and wanting Portsmouth away. Let's go enjoy it as we have done away at Tonbridge, Newport (IOW), Halesowen etc over the last ten or so years.
Let's get 1,000 singing Maidstonians up there + Toon of course. He has scores to settle there, I believe.

Wont have problem getting tickets if no one wants to go then. The players must be thinking ungrateful b******ds all that effort on Saturday and the " fans"are whinging about the draw. Dont get it !

Not an ideal draw but a 'draw' on the day could make things interesting - not many teams will fancy coming to the Gallagher this season !

Stevenage? Are we seriously moaning about a side that can beat Reading and Newcastle in the FA cup? Stevenage are a massive giant killing side and will not underestimate us. Good draw, and a tough side to beat in the fa cup.
