I can trot along on Friday and Saturday but the tickets are not available to me. I am working on Sunday. The tickets are available to me. I can come along Monday. The ticket office is closed. I can't come along on Tuesday. The ticket office is open. If this is going to sell out I guess there will be no chance for me to get a ticket. I had better start looking up other games to go to on the 25th then. I have to work sunday I was hoping my imusc membership would be same as the fan club so its me in the queue Tuesday also so fingers crossed.

There was me thinking the i meant independent. Meaning that they are separate from the club so the club would be under no obligation to offer them any tickets before general sale. It is i for independent, but also for irrelevant! imusc is ok for coach travel but not ok for ticket priority! The fan club was marketed with ticket priority and costs £15, imusc wasn't and costs £5, both allow membership to Travel club but not ticket priority! This is something that imusc can look at at one of our many meetings with the club. However, it is not going to happen this time at such short notice

Remember it's independent Maidstone United supporters club, meaning independent of Maidstone United.

This was me playing devils advocate. If imusc did get priority people would join for a fiver and then people wouldn't bother with the fan club. Imusc would either have to raise the joining fee to be the same or realise they don't get tickets before general sale.

Independent as in voice, not independent as in not raising funds for the club, currently fundraising for a scoreboard and well on the way!

But I bet not all members make an effort to attend events. Also those that aren't members that go to the quiz nights are raising money for a scoreboard. Should they be given priority?

Therefore none of the fan club members contribute to fund raising except through their subscription There are some imusc members that provide funds for the club through fundraising as well as their subscription! But before anyone thinks I'm moaning I'm not, we all knew the benefits of each membership scheme before we joined, I just said I'd take the points of our membership to the next meeting with the club! Many imusc members are season ticket holders so already benefit from priority

I think they should allow two tickets per person, but I do understand why they wouldn't allow more than that. Making every single person who wants to attend the game queue to buy a ticket seems a bit hard to me. If you're a grown up wanting to go with your son e.g., that means he has to go and queue with you for goodness-knows-how -long (bearing in mind I think most will be there at 1.00pm Sunday to make sure they don't miss out) to get the tickets - does he then have to physically hand the money over too?
I will go and queue on Sunday, but my brother in law (who has been a Stones fan since the days of Watling Street) also wants to go but he can't be there Sunday afternoon due to his duties as a Salvation Army Minister. I can't buy him a ticket so I will end up going and he won't be able to. That seems a bit harsh to me.

Yes, but for every story like yours there'll be 20 people buying a ticket for his mate who fancies going to this game, because its a biggie, they'll sell out quickly, and this board will be full of regulars who haven't got a ticket, quite rightly moaning because someone who only goes twice a year has! One ticket per person is the only way! Your brother in law can always send his wife, friend, family member down for him!

Thats a good question about children because a lot of families go. I am all for the one ticket rule and I don't think all the tickets would have gone by the end of Sunday anyway. Its a pity there can't be something in place for children like if you have kids you have membership cards for them for a small fee a year or even free. If you get a game like the Welling one you can turn up with your season ticket and your childs card and purchase them both at the same time. There must be season ticket holders out there that go with there kids who will not be able to take them uless they queue up twice. I guess lots of people have ideas that could be put in place when it comes to people who take their children to games.

People like Binsey & Jayser100 forget that there are always people who exploit these situations. Therefore the policy of one ticket per person. We live in the real world.

Yes there are but with about 200+ youngsters going every sat with their parents surely something can be put in place for these for future games.

It's a right pain in the backside if you live in North London though and they aren't even selling them at Saturdays game. There is a real time and money cost trekking down just to get a ticket when with two tickets per person one of my Maidstone based mates could pick one up for me. WS
