Seriously take a step back and look at yourselves, all those clubs that just spend spend spend you surly don't support that, you must agree I ruining football, tats the pie of football is top heavy with the top 10 clubs of te premier league whilst everyone downwards struggles and whose management make awful mistakes trying to keep up and get to the promised land... its too late there are only a handful of things to be won each year, 99% of clubs are going to be disappointed. You need to question the logic of your chairman installing such a pitch when the rules stated otherwise and you were climbing the leagues. opps the great grounds man who shared a beer with the greats, has lost his spell check

Oh and by the way, having worked alongside such player as lionel messi, david beckham, christiano Ronaldo etc etc they all confided to me that they hated plastic pitches but would never be allowed to state it publicly due to sponsorship etc. But you guys know best, better in fact because you have spent ever day of your life for 30 years working on playing surfaces for football, their development and construction maintenance and design.... Amazed your article is so incorrect no wait thats because you know grass and sod all about 3g. Nevermind that independant testing has shown our surface to play to 97% the same as Wembley for the ball bounce, roll and abrasion characteristics but dont let the facts get in the way of your clearly self serving vested interest article!

Good luck with your administration and subsequent liquidation when you have to rip up your plastic carpet and install a proper pitch which sends you bankrupt. Enough fans to pay the way percy.

Do you honestly think David Beckham thinks that way? The same David Beckham who opened an indoor academy with a 3G pitch in London? Numpty Well I don't know how he thinks I am only telling you what came out of his mouth when I asked him what he thought- he was playng for ac Milan at san siro and there was talk of making it plastic- I asked him what he thought to playing on san siro as plastic and he explained in detail and at length how hard plastic pitches were on the injuries he was carrying and that he hated them As for opening a school on plastic indoors what else would it be indoors? and its a school not a pro level stadium at elite level. You seem to get m wrong I have worked on and developed these things, I don't want them at pro level which for me in uk is conference upwards the rest of the levels can all have them as far as I am concerned its such a low standard it does not interest me.

I can see why you work with grass, you probably smoke too much. The reason the 3G was installed was in order to protect the long term future of the club financially. Some simple figures, the pitch cost circa £300k, the ground £2.5m. First year turnover circa £2m with profit of £200k. You do the maths, perhaps you can use an abacus, we don't want to scare you with something as technological as a calculator!

I know sod all about plastic that's why I helped in their development in asia in particular for the code of rugby union.

I'm sure you understand the FIFA pitch ratings though being a groundsman don't you!! Suppose they've got it wrong as well have they. What would FIFA know about pitches versus the all knowing Groundsman!!

So why if your club is so clever financially is it crying foul over a transparent democratic vote of a rule that was in place anyway? please be the first former on here to answer a question directly

Doesnt explain all the misinformation either you know stuff all or are a pathetic twerp on a windup feel free to choose which. You have not answered how we achieved a result so similar to a top quality grass pitch but with you extensive knowledge could you point me in the direction of a grass pitch that achieves such performance below the Premier League?

Actually FIFA know nothing and don't want to as is stated in the article because they cant make any money from real grass but they can from plastic, they do know about swiss bank accounts though...suppose you are going to tell me Qatar 2022 was a good and fair decision?

Firstly it wasn't Maidstone that called the EGM. That was Sutton United, we were asked to present to the Conference as we have along with other clubs such as Wycombe who are looking into a 3G pitch we have been trying to demonstrate the benefits of the surface. The Conference asked Maidstone to present yesterday, with none of the conference clubs voting seeing that presentation. I think Oliver is trying to get the audience with the conference clubs but this was swerved by the suits with some crafty scheduling of the meeting and the vote.

Groundsman, you may have noticed that we're all singing from the same hymn sheet here and that is because we've seen first hand the quality of the pitch and the benefit to the club and community.
Your argument has no weight as we'll continue to support the club regardless of division, in fact misinformed people like yourself will only make us more determined.
Trust me when I say this forum is rarely in agreement, but I suppose the fact were all saying the same thing doesn't mean anything against your knowledge. Just remember the fans pay the bills for your work my friend so don't be so quick to dismiss others opinions!
