You were missed JT but you should not have given your ticket to Frank. Toon missed 2 goals cause he was in the VP Bar, Then to cap it all spilled his Beer over someone in the Main Stand then laughed at him. US VP s are not used to such behaviour. I heard it was you that was laughing!! Toon is the most respectful stones fan there is and there is no way he would ever offend anyone and is on his best behaviour at all times!! lol

unfortunately dan parkinson had a nightmare as rightback, where the two hampton goals came from. elliot cox did seal off the box in the second half and gave kayne a bit of support. other than that, micky "INIESTA" phillips man of match for me, captain couragious and industrial in midfield.

Not sure I'd blame him for the first, two centre backs too far apart and disected by a through ball that put their nippy forward one on one with Worgs. Cox did look the business in the second half and will give Parkinson something to aim for...it was a bit like having Nathan Paul back in the side.

After a dodgy start the boys turned the game on its head. The effort from the whole team was great the vocal support was superb today from start to finish.A few mors performances like that would be great. Some credit must go to the bloke in the high viz aka as their keeper who kept the score down any other day Frannie could of had 5 or 6 goals.

And who's fault was it I spilled my drink, it was your faut mr springfield asking me who we played on Tuesday night I was happily enjoying the game lol, I dd apologise and offer to clean the chaps coat, what didn't help was you laughing at him at him constantly for 20 minutes, never mind I will comment on the game tomorrow as I Have a 12 hour cool off period before posting from last weekend, when my comments / passion may have got me into trouble, in Jay we trust

What a result! Everything today reminded me off last season. Performance and crowd were top class today, that's what's Maidstone are all about.

Just out of interest who is the "old fella" who spoke to jay at half time as per the interview on website? I wonder what he said?!

Can't remember the last time we scored 7. Great attacking display today and their goalie was probably their man of the match. What a difference having Micky Phillips back in the side made, and Flish back to his best. Not sure about results in the County League days, but I remember beating Altrincham 7-2 at Watling Street in our Conference winning season. John Docker amongst the scorers I seem to remember.

Having the old Philips/Brown combo in the centre makes such a difference. Philips is one of those who just makes things tick. He can change the direction and/or pace of an attack and he knows when to hold on to it. He's the kind of player who will rarely get the headlines but his team-mates will tell you what a difference he makes. Also Cox showed what we have been missing at rb. Take Parkinson out of the firing line and allow him to learn the role from Cox.

What a fickle lot. All those days when we didn’t get a scrap of luck and Jay’s rubbish, the players don’t try and the club lacks ambition; but today everything flies in (well, everything but Frannie’s close-range efforts) and we’re Barcelona!
If we’re looking for some cause and effect, I hope that the people who scoffed at our injury crisis will at least admit that the huge difference today was having our awesome twosome back in central midfield for the first time since we won at high-flying Bognor, which plainly made both wingers and strikers at lot more comfortable: it made for the best goal-fest since we humiliated Whitstable 3-7 on their own patch. The other good news today, I thought, was the appearance of Cox after half time. I’ll swear he’s got to be Danny Rose’s right-sided cousin.
But let’s also be realistic: at half time we were saying that, for the second time in four days, our defence looks shambolic without Wattie. The next opponent to hoof a ball down the middle with a quick striker to chase it is liable to have the same success – so let’s not get all doomsday if and when it happens again.

We scored 9 against Sporting Bengal on April 8th 2006. I know that because I was up in Dumfries getting married.
Just to balance the runaway train of the 'you've been wrong to criticise, gloaters' may I point out that we gave away two poor goals and were helped a lot today but some utterly woeful defending by Hampton in the second half. This was epitomised by Parkinson's goal when the whole defence went missing and there seemed to be half the Maidstone team waiting in the centre of the box to head it in the net. Collin missed several good chances. Obviously I pay homage to the Town End lads who already seem to have voted themselves as the main reason for today's victory.
The reality is that on Tuesday we didn't deserve to lose 4-1 and today Hampton didn't deserve to lose 7-2
