I don't see why we as fans should think that we are any different from any other set of fans supporting any other team in this god given land. I suggest every set of fans from Premier league down have the same polarised views and that's just part of the "deal" and the "passion" of the game. Correct, you should have seen the Wealdstone forum after we came back from 2 down, and then knocked them out of the FA Trophy. One of the reasons this forum is so lively is because if the diverse views, some I agree with some I don't but opinion is allowed to be aired on an independent forum. As for the oldie newbie debate, I really don't see it, yes I'm an sad old oldie that has missed a handfull of games in the past decade or so (my choice), but I've met new friends since we've been home with the likes of toon lunch and many more. I cant remember being any different to these guys than the ones I've known for years! It's great to get the crowds we do. But just because I too went to Ashford thinking I was seeing my club go under (again) doesn't mean I don't want to see them do better!

A discussion - the action or process of talking about something in order to reach a decision or to exchange ideas/veiws.

Toon, I'm fed up with being jumped on every time I try to be positive. Not telling someone to f*ck off when they have a different opinion might be a start!

I would prefer that criticism is constructive but that is not always possible in the heat of the moment, and I actually think it shows how much people care about the club. Everyone who turns up to support the team home or away (oldie or newbie) has the right to air their opinion, good or bad, and hopefully in a constructive and non-offensive way. In my opinion, it is a shame that people feel that criticism is sometimes seen as damaging on here, and guess what, people also have the choice whether to read it or not. COYS and bring back Kasabian!!! When was Kasabian removed as the intro song & do we still have an intro song?

I think I said "shut the f**k up" but I was feeling a bit tetchy at the time, having been repeatedly jumped on for daring to mention the Maidstone United might have existed before last year. I'm happy to apologise for that because it was a bit OTT, but I will not apologise for posting anything that might relate to pre-homecoming days just because NWS's windups have upset some of the more recent supporters.

I disagree with people who only want positive things to say about our team performances ... Surely it's why we have a forum to vent our opinions !?!?. I am a new supporter in terms that I didn't go to the games in the years gone by, but since we've returned to the town, I have followed the fortunes of this club home & away ... more than a few people who come on here and give it large. I am proud of our team, its stadium and the people who run this club. There is no hiding the fact though that our home performances of late has been dreadful ... When was the last time many of you left the ground clapping our team off the pitch ? ... To my recollection ... quite a while. With the supporters base that we have at home (and we are the envy of the rest of our rivals in this League, and a few more as far as League 2),whilst away, apart from 2 other teams so far this season, we've had more supporters than the home side. The team and managing staff owe it to us to get back to winning ways at the Gallagher ... Yes it's true ... some of our "class" players have been "pedestrian like" in their performances and Jay should stick them on the sub bench for a game or two ... No one at this level has a right to be in the team if they are not performing. We have lost up to 16 points at home this term, drawing to teams that don't deserve to be on the same pitch as us ... true ...and gladly enough we have had some good results away, but looking at these statistics, we should be running away and be so far ahead by now. Tuesday night was a total shamble, it's not that the home team wanted it more than us ... we were awful , the defence was on the back foot throughout the game because we didn't have a midfield or attacking players in the game ... with the exception of Zac, who continuously works "his socks off" up front. I've said it before, when Wattsy or "Anestesia" are not playing ... we haven't got a leader on the pitch ... Then I am always surprised to see how much encouragement I hear from the opposite coaching and managerial side whereas I can't see it from our own ... Being a nice guy ... always get you the sack in the end ... I would love to hear Jay or Wardy bark a few words of encouragement to the boys on the pitch ... but it always sounds very muted ... I don't mean to have a go ... I simply express myself as I see it. You've probably have all fallen asleep now reading my journal, but if you have not let's all get down the Gallagher on Saturday and cheer our team to victory ...after all ... we beat them at their place 3-1 ... and I was there ... so to hear that's it's a must win game is correct ... because we are Maidstone United FC ... playing in front of the best supported club in the League ... and we are better than them !! C'MON YOU STONES !! ALLEZ LES AMBERS !!
