To be honest I've been saying for a while now that all this newbie, oldie stuff is complete bollocks. People persistently post about it, whether joking or not, is going to annoy some.
I think there should be a ban on people posting when they're pissed as that doesn't help and force people to wait ten minutes before actually posting so they can read the shite they put in here.
Anyone can have an opinion and be free to air it without anyone jumping on them.

Whether your a league day pensioner or a newbie just build a bridge and get over it.....like it or not people's opinions differ from time to time.

Agree with absolutely everything on this thread. I've read many things from twitter and it's quite often that teams from the conference south and ryman prem praise and say how jealous they are of our fan base. I'm so very tempted to reply to them and tell them to have a look at our forum and see if they're jealous now. I think the only thing they can be jealous about is the sheer size of our fan base, but if they looked at the divisions and crap that's put on here, they'd probably laugh and think how ungrateful we are to be back at home with 2000 fans.
Oldies, I salute you, you kept the club going through the thick and thin. Thank you for everything that you have ever done for the club.
However, like our ground, we as fans, are modernising (no I'm not trying to suggest the oldies aren't). But this sudden surge of 'newbies' will allow the club to flourish even further now and with the amount of youngsters in the crowd, all is very promising.
Just cut with the bullsh*t now, it's embarassing.

The easiest way to get rid of the doom and gloom would be for the team to actually turn up in the 1st half of a home game and give the support something to shout about. Margate aside (when 3-0 flattered us massively) our 1st half showings have been dreadful of late, immediately silencing the crowd, and giving the away team a big boost. TBH we were lucky to get a point against Hendon and Met Police, given both had golden chances to win the games late on.
Some of the blame for this must lay at the door of the management, especially when it's week after week. The way it's going, I'd imagine Hampton are looking forward to Saturday, and the potential of giving us a 'bloody nose' at home!

To be fair Dave anyone who has started watching the club since coming home has been made to feel like this( not by you btw) so maybe if everyone valued everyone else instead of this "my dad's bigger than your dad" bollox we wouldn't be having this every Effin week well said that man ,I couldnt agree more , I,m a so called newbie thats been going with my son and we are just as passionate as the fans who have been going for donkeys years but unfortunately at times particularly on aways days we are made to feel like we are intruding on a private members club. I do sometimes wonder if the Spartans (300) would just perfer to keep it like that and know other fans were there, dont get me wrong ive have made some new friends newbies and oldies and for the main can,t wait until match day comes ...COYS

more negative stuff? Zzzzzzzzzzzz Are you telling me you can find some positives from our recent home displays? No. But I must of read the same bit of 'constructived' critism at least twice. It's getting boring and old now, hence the 'zzz'.

I don't see why we as fans should think that we are any different from any other set of fans supporting any other team in this god given land. I suggest every set of fans from Premier league down have the same polarised views and that's just part of the "deal" and the "passion" of the game. I would prefer that criticism is constructive but that is not always possible in the heat of the moment, and I actually think it shows how much people care about the club. Everyone who turns up to support the team home or away (oldie or newbie) has the right to air their opinion, good or bad, and hopefully in a constructive and non-offensive way. In my opinion, it is a shame that people feel that criticism is sometimes seen as damaging on here, and guess what, people also have the choice whether to read it or not. COYS and bring back Kasabian!!!

Well I did not expect to get that many comments and views on a post, but it is great that a lot of supporters that do not often voice their opinions , apart from the usual Suspects that is, had their say as well ! Hopefully we are going to make the Pilgrimage and get to the 2 home games on the 8th and 11th Feb. Just a mere 3000 mls 1 way trip - until we get to The High Level Bridge that is. Where would be the best place to watch the games in the Stadium and whine people up from ? Going back to the goalkeeper thread and Les Apps - anyone remember Danny Wiltshire ? COYS.
