Are we only allowed to discuss the positives of winning on this forum ? Where do I need to go to discuss issues if we loose ? Well said Toon ;-)

So, let me get this straight. By your logic Jews living in the world today should shut up about the holocaust because they weren't there and have "no right whatsoever to complain"? For quenelle, that's a bit of an extrapolation! Perhaps "no right" wasn't the best choice of words by Nigel, but you can see what he means - be happy!

If you were an old time supporter you d realise how ridiculous some of the comments on here are. Having known how close we came to extinction only 5 years ago and having turned up at Ashford for what I thought was our last ever game, I decided then that just having a local football team to support would be good enough for me. The transformation since then has been nothing short of a miracle and the owners and the management have done us proud. New stadium, one promotion and now 3rd in the league, a pitch that's the envy of the non league. So, I ll repeat what I said on a previous thread to the moaners. For god sake shut up and support the team. You have absolutely no right whatsoever to complain!!! Tbh i think its more frustration than anything, of course we all grateful for where the club is now, but recently its become hard work watching the team who we know can do better scrape a draw or in Tuesdays case lose. I think anyone that moans or vents their frustration has every right to do so, just because they do this, they don't need to be told to shut up, i'm sure they'll still be there Saturday supporting the Stones.

Blimey didn't take long for the usual bollocks about 5, 10 and 20 years ago, we were a totally different team then with a totally different management team and owners, the high expectations come from having a shiny new stadium along with players being signed up on long term contracts, people are allowed to moan if they aren't happy with performances and shouldn't be told to shut up, this is a democracy and with the fan base we have, there is bound to be polar opposites in regards to opinions, I think it is getting boring people constantly harping on about the good old days in the county leagues, when 200 people turned up, I honestly don't care, I support Maidstone now and want us to be the very best we can be, so if we play well I will lavish praise and if we play crap I will moan, that's my prerogative, I have paid my money....COYS

Many moons ago I used to play foot in the local park with Nicky John's (he never volunteered to go in goal though). I was dating his next door neighbours daughter at the time. It was never going to work with us both being ginger.

We should sack the manager and half the squad because we're third in the league which plainly is nowhere near good enough. And on top of all that anyone who saw the club prior to the homecoming can just shut up because their opinions and memories don't count.

I agree everyone has a right to their opinions and I'm sure everyone has their own perspective. I think some of us are frustrated by the performances of late and have left games cursing one thing or another but we try and apply perspective. If Southampton who went through the leagues in successive seasons like we have, and were 3rd in the league at this stage of the season; people would be falling over themselves to congratulate them. We do have a good pitch and sizeable support but we are still a promoted team. We have a small squad and have been blighted by injuries to crucial players. So I think some of us are prepared to cut the team some slack and try and get behind them to help them get out of this slump in form. No players play badly on purpose and I think honest and constructive criticism is fine but expecting us to play like Man City and crush everyone while entertaining is pie in the sky stuff. When we had a fully fit squad, we played some great football earlier in the season. Even if disappointed, getting on the players' backs and making them scared to play certainly won't help.

At the end of the day we all love this club weather we are new supporters old supports or indifferent supports, we all have the right to moan and bitch, but come match day we are there giving our support to our club, so let's get there Saturday and sing and support the team, lets shout and sing loud and proud and show the management team and Jay and the boys how much they mean to us as a club,

Getting the town end to start making some noise would certainly be another thing that would help. If they could make some noise for a change instead of the quiet whisper they usually come out with , the stadium could be an intimidating place to come for the opposing team. Good solid backing is surely worth a few extra points a season.

Other teams in the league must be looking at this forum and wondering what the hell is wrong with us. We all know what the moaners think now so time to shut the f**k up and start supporting the team. The 1st sentence is good but the 2nd a little harsh. I think shatty hit the clit on the head by mentioning "frustration". This emotion is hard to translate to words. So stop acting like a bunch of kids or I'll drop kick the lot of you in the plums.

Obviously somebody needs a cuddle, I haven't said anything about sacking the manager or getting rid of half the team, all I have said is people are allowed their opinions, I couldn't be happier with our league position, but believe we aren't playing particularly well at home at the moment, this could be down to many things for example opposition teams stepping up their performances, injuries to key players and also the pressure of the big crowds, I love this club and will continue to do so, so please Dave read my post before you try and shoot it down with nonsense

Toon, I'm fed up with being jumped on every time I try to be positive. I'm fed up with anyone who mentions anything before last season getting jumped on. And while it may not have been you, there have been a few people recently calling for the managers head. People keep saying everyone's entitled to an opinion but that doesn't seem to be the card for those who disagree with all the negativity.

To be fair Dave anyone who has started watching the club since coming home has been made to feel like this( not by you btw) so maybe if everyone valued everyone else instead of this "my dad's bigger than your dad" bollox we wouldn't be having this every Effin week

I agree with what you say, but it's okay saying it on here, but putting it to practise proves difficult at times. Would love to get the place rocking again like last year, but too many people in the townend don't bother singing. I know they don't have to, because they can support the team however they want, but would be good if some people could make a bit more effort this Saturday please
