If we are in the bottom 4 come end if season then that is a bad day in the office. If we finish in the lower half of the table I shall be disapointed. upper mid table will do nicely giving a platform to improve on next year. Playoff would be fantastic. win the league and i'll swim the mudway from maidstone to rochester for charity.

Worgs was the only player to come out of Monday with any credit. Sobers mostly had the touch of a donkey and the vision of a mole, let's get Andrews back in the side. Davies had an absolute mare but I think de did enough in pre-season not to be written off yet, although I prefer Sullivan as first choice, Watt did ok but was badly caught out for what should have been a Margate penalty, Mills and Flisher still short of their best. Danny Lye seems to have regressed to what he was for the early part of last season, Phillips did ok but with virtually no support from the rest of the midfield. Hill...one day he'll take somebody on instead of cutting inside, and I'll probably die of shock. Franny Collin was basically feeding on scraps but never stopped trying and looking for the ball. Draycott didn't do enough and virtually every first touch was poor. Booth looked ok when he came on and at least we created a few half chances, but he was never gonna play two games in three days, and I didn't really notice Saraiva apart from the tannoy's bungled attempt to pronounce his name. Over all, too many below par performances from players that we know are mostly better than that, but I think it's time for a few changes to give some of them the kick up the backside they apparently need.

I deliberately waited some time before lobbing my bobs worth in. Exceedingly disappointed and hope that the one or two ominous signs were just me being daft (but sober!), Lack of commitment, effort and skill made it a torrid afternoon. Spoke to some Margate supporters following the match and they thought that they had not played particularly well but that we never turned up. They are looking forward to the trip up the road to the Gallagher on boxing day. Life goes on but I hope for much, much better on Saturday.

Last year, we beat Margate away in the Trophy, then failed to perform at East Thurrock in the Cup, just as we did yesterday. We followed that with a hard fought draw at home to Hythe, and then demolished Dulwich 5 - 0 with the best (league) performance of the season. Things can only get better. (My glass is forever half full).

Looking at the current table in 6 games we have played the teams that currently lie in 3 of the top 6 places. We are a point behind Wealdstone and a point ahead of Lowestoft, 2 of the pre season favourites. In contrast the current league leaders, who are yet to concede a goal, have played 3 of the teams that currently occupy the bottom 6 places, and the highest placed team they have played currently sit in 10th place. Kingstonian fans are understandably delighted with their start, and after today's game there are a number of comments regarding us struggling this season and having too many players simply not up to the job. On Saturday we played the team in 6th, who came to the GS for a draw and went away with the point their negativity barely deserved. Today for the first time in a year (since Worhing away) we lost a game we actually deserved to lose. Sittingbourne away, Faversham, Leatherhead at home....games we didn't deserve to lose.....arguably East Thurrock in the FA Cup A couple of games in 12 months we actually deserved to lose........I would have taken that. I refuse to believe we have become a bad side over night and I fully intend to get behind all the players on Saturday, lets judge them when they have a few more games under their belt. Spot on

You just need a smaller glass then it'll always be full.
I Had three options on Monday. Stay at home reclining on a lounger in the back garden before going for a dip it the hot tub. Stay at home and cut the grass with a pair of scissors. Go to Margate and watch the football.
In hindsight I should have gone for the scissors.
