The voice of reason as always, Russ...cant disagree with any of that. Hythe aside, when was the last time Shaun had a good game? People were saying we had too many midfielders...nice of Danny and Mickey to give the others a chance now. StonedProf's idea appears to be a good one as well. Would have to agree with you regarding Shaun, i still think King and Ade look a good partnership

I was gone quite quickly so did not see any scuffle. I can understand people being very angry with such a level of incompetence from the man in black (let's face it he was pretty dire both ways in the second half with players openly laughong at his ludicrous decisions) but there is no need for physical retrubution, I thought we played a bit disjointedly but still did enough to beat a poor Sittingbourne side. The toruble was that every time we got in the box the referee blew for a free kick for a foul that had never happened. When one did happen right in front of him (i.e. Draycott being unable to run for the ball because the defender had his shirt and was dragging him backwards) he saw nothing wrong. Utterly clueless. If the club do not wish to report that then can someone give me an address to write to about him because he was not just poor he was utterly devoid of any idea on how to run a football match. If I had know that is what was on offer today I would have saved my money and stayed in bed.I thought you had done. I wandered round the ground a couple of times looking for you to buy you that pint I promised. Someone of your height should be easy to spot but I didn't see you. Sorry, Davy lad. I was not feeling too great and ending up getting there a bit late. I think it was only the refereeing performance that caused me to make any noise. I agree with others, to a point, that we should have put a very poor Sittingbourne side away. However, I will repeat that his constant blowing for a free kick every time the ball went in the box, when there was no infringement, broke many good points of pressure down. There was one really bad tackle in the game and that was through the back of the legs - can't remember which of our players got fouled. I agree with Davy - there's a first - that Phillips second booking was warranted and that Lye and Golding's sending offs were not.

apparently, the referee was seen crying in his changing room after the game, hes used to 100 fans a week, the league need to give referees who can handle the pressure of the fans. Although the fact that someone tried to attack him after the game can't have helped. This is the sort of thing that causes referees to quit the game, which in the long run doesn't help the standard of officials improve.

I we have video footage of the person trying to attack the referee then it should a) be passed to the police for their consideration and b) be passed to the club for their consideration. We don't need nonsense like that. I was fuming with that refereeing performance and, if like gamstone, I had seen him after I might well have enquired as to whether he was going to reimburse me for my wasted afternoon. I, most certainly, would not be attempting to attack him. That is a disgrace and we don't want that.

We cannot have trial by messageboard. The names should be passed to the club so they can look into it further. People must know who was responsible.

I don't think its trail by message board. I'm certain I would want the people/ persons responcable standing near me even before/if the club take any action. Hopefully they feel to ashamed to bother coming to stones games anymore. I'm not perfect but no way would I go to hit an ref or ne officials that's just wrong.

If people are posting names of people and saying this is who attacked the referee on Saturday, as a potential for debate then that is trial by messageboard. Pass the names to the club. I agree with what you say about the people nearby.
