I'm sure every club in play off contention wishes Dulwich to win the league . Not for a particular hatred of us, but the chance of a play us in a play off match in front of a full house at the Gallagher. Promoted or not it offer's whoever a good payday

Corrr Daveu what planet are you on?! Firstly we arent allowed to sing gillingham songs cause it offends someone you sometimes bring with you and you get embarrassed and now its absolutely fine for opposition to react like complete morons after a shambles of game. You need to go back to the funny farm!! Sing what you like about Gillingham. If branding people scum because of who they support is what floats your boat. I don't have to like it do I? And you can hardly blame the Brickies fans for the ref. If celebrating when you win makes you a moron then we're all morons. I just think people need to remember that we wouldn't have a club if not for Sittingbourne before they start mouthing off about what a bunch of pikey's, morons, or worse, they are. Some of the vitriol that has been spouted since saturday has gone way beyond banter.

I realise this may upset some people on this forum, so please look away now, but me personally and this is my opinion only, i for one don't believe that we owe Sittingbourne anything, its not as if they allowed us to play at their fine stadium free of charge or that they didnt benefit handsomely from our stay at their ground, hence the financial difficulties they are now facing, after Saturday i wouldn't go anywhere near their new ground or participate in any charity event to raise funds for them, let their idiot players club together with their regular 100 fans to finance the club

i for one don't believe that we owe Sittingbourne anything, its not as if they allowed us to play at their fine stadium free of charge or that they didnt benefit handsomely from our stay at their ground However I do believe that they were somewhat flexible when it came to late payment of rent, reading between the lines of the programme notes when we played there. I always found their staff and officials to be quite pleasant and in general they were good hosts. Yes, their players were out of order on Saturday, but players come and go. If everyone judged us by one or two of our former managers, we wouldn't have much of a reputation left. And yes, I know that their fans can be a little... shall we say overzealous? ;D But they've not exactly done any harm to anyone. I kind of agree with ragstone's post on their forum. To a certain extent Bourne Park does still feel more like home than the new ground, probably because I've seen more than three times as many games there. Not that I want to swap, I hasten to add!

Toonarmy I can understand your ill feeling to neighbours over the hill, but the Bourne's financial problems do not stem from the Stones departure, but from the legacy left by a certain Mr. Fletcher whose delusions of grandeur stood before you, as you entered the main gates. Yes Sittingbourne now has the only Greyhound stadium in Kent, and next month will host the Kent Kings speedway team, but as a football stadium it was an example of how not to proceed. Dartford and Maidstone have learned the lesson and have built more modest stadia and are now reaping the benefits. Here endeth the history lesson

I think TA was probably referring to the fact that Sittingbourne stayed at Bourne Park without going under because of our rent money (albeit late or not).
Here endeth the economics lesson

We musn't get confused between the people that run Sittingbourne e.g. the Spice's Peter Pitts etc. who have been very good to us and the current management and players and some fans who clearly think the opposite.
As someone said, players and management go but fans (and owners I hasten to add) are much more permanent.
Of course, us having a team and management of mainly "locals" gives the club a lot more stability and (hopefully) players will care more about being a part of their local team than somewhere they travel 30 miles to play and train.
Have I used the word "local" too much?

According to the official site and cases says there were two incidents. Obviously one was at the end of the game what was other? :s There was something at half time too I believe. As the ref walked off with the other officials, some of our fans were giving him a lot of stick. I think someone may have tried to grab the referee again - I remember hearing one of the photographers say "you can get nicked for that" or something. Not sure if this is what they were referring too though.
