This could work. I can see Sol and Aaron linking well - with pace and drive, and if Greg can come to the party, happy days.
With Aaron able to play right across the back line, Sol left or right - at a push through the centre and Greg left or middle, you have options for flexibility
Should be able to create more space with pace, something the rather static Shaq and Pierre can't offer
Well done George - the handbrake's starting to loosen

I think you have to try and look on the positive side. A better option than Fonkeu and a real handful. We have been playing well enough lately but then Benton left. I think we will tweak the formation now. Wing backs will probably be shelved. We still need a striker and maybe a creative CM.
The options off the bench have been pretty average.
Hopefully we will be sat here in a few weeks with a strong squad

Skillful and pacey wide player is def what the team needs right now. Ok an out and out striker would be nice too, but hoping that will come sometime soon. In the mean-time Sol is very, very welcome addition to the squad. Interesting one George.

A diving, cheating waste of space and money. Unlikely to play a dozen games before the end of the season. A huge backward step by a manager who is quickly losing the respect i once had for him.☹ Sword gonna sword

My take on him was that he looked the part and seemed to have much potential, but rarely delivered.
A Prima Donna, rather than a team player. Probably playing a league too high.
But I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.

Absolutely delighted by this news. I questioned why he was released in the summer? Maybe suspect ankle or maybe George didn't approve of the podcast ? Same reason for releasing Bone? Only one of the attacking players signed in the summer (Blair) could be argued to be an improvement the others are definitely not IMHO. And as for being a diver Swordy, I'm afraid football has changed and winning free kicks/ pens by any means is now part and parcel of the game it just so happens that Sol is very good at it. As I've said on another thread we now have two first class dead ball takers in Brookes and Seaman who could well benefit from Sol winning more free kicks around the box.
Welcome back Sol! 😁😁😁

I was a Sol fan.
But more importantly I think we should reflect on George here.
He makes mistakes in my opinion like releasing Sol in the first place, but made more of a mistake in signing Lodivica.
He has now accepted those mistakes and dropped one and re signed the other.
For any bloke to admit he f… up in this instance and that time early in the season when he had a pop at the fans then apologised shows he is a strong character.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not completely convinced on George yet, but let’s try and take the positives.

Its a funny old game Hak got criticised for keeping too many of his old squad. Although in fairness the criticism came mostly a little later when it became evident too many of the players couldn't compete at NL level. Now George has done the opposite, letting some players go that could well have done a decent job for us. The manager hasn't got it all right, but he'll do for me

I am a sol fan and definitely glad to see him back as he is a character fans can get behind, but there's no escaping it speaks volumes about our recruitment. I wonder if he was on a contract at bath?

I'm sorry to upset you all but he is waste of space, time and money. He has come back to us for an easy payday before being signed by the likes of Ramsgate or Chatham. Should have left in Bath.☹

Yeah, I agree with most of that and let's not forget that George is still a young, reasonably inexperienced manager that is still learning imo. I may be wrong but personally, I think with his life experience, playing experience, communication skills and intelligence George may become a very successful manager (hopefully with us).

The old 'full time' question again...
According to young Brooks on his YouTube, 'full time' consists of three two-hour training sessions per week (+ travelling/playing time). These six hours stretch to more like 12, as players arrive an hour early for breakfast, and take an hour for lunch afterwards (both provided by the club). So 'full time' means 12 hours a week for training, etc plus whatever is needed for match days - I would guess 5 to 6 hours for home games, up to maybe as much as 12 hours for an away game. I can't be arsed to do the maths as to how that works out for an average week, but I'm fairly certain that it comes to less than those of us who work would call a typical 'full-time' week.
The argument is that this is 'full time' in effect, as it doesn't allow the player to do other work, but Brooks has two other jobs that he manages to fit in, and I would imagine he is fairly typical.
So, what they actually do is what most of us would call 'part-time'.
'Full time' is basically day-time training.
