That's a fair point, but the club does employ and allegedly train the security so they must take a small percentage of the blame. I've read of several clubs recently including Sutton United who will not allow away fans a seat disabled or otherwise. Now there may be no rules being broken here but it's just petty mindedness to shit on disabled people in this way. The Sutton situation was that they didn’t have seats in the away end, I believe. So you had to buy a seat in the home end and keep your trap shut, Unbelievable Jeff!

I don’t know where the allocated disabled spaces were, but if they were in the main stand but were only paying the standard price then the club had every right to move them. Def has a legal right But Less convinced about the moral right. Basically it comes down to whether you care enough about looking after disabled, wheelchair bound supporters, by allocating them preferential spectating facilities.

Bless you Dave - always defending your club! Those amber and black specs are sure powerful! For me though this is morally wrong and for me therefore not defensible especially when we are supposed to be a community club.

Disabled fans at ours get a great view from the disabled platform in the main stand. Raised , under cover and uninterrupted views. And a chairlift to the main viewing area.

Seems like a really hard nosed decision by somebody.
For a community club, this is not a good look.

If the photos that got reproduced on Facebook are genuine, it seems that the wheelchair based supporters at the front end of the Genco, couldn't get out of the rain.
How can anyone think this is right thing to do ?

We used to do things better than this. We used to be better than this.
Anyone designing a brand new stadium on a hill from scratch, the disabled fans would get the best view in the ground without complex ramps.
Nobody would risk that goodwill for a few pounds.

Wheelchair users were always in that area at the top of the main stand since the Gallagher opened, there's been a lift there from the beginning and then in the summer the club just decided they needed to be moved. Multiple people have commented about it and have said they've tried getting an answer from the club, but they're getting no reply.
One of the fans who is in a wheelchair has been following this club for over 50 years, I remember seeing him loads at Sittingbourne & Ashford as well.

Isn't there a disabled lift between the Spitfire lounge block and the MS?

Isn't there a disabled lift between the Spitfire lounge block and the MS? Yes it's been there since the stadium opened

If the club want to maximise revenue and move them from there to sell the seats then fair enough; but for the sake of optics if not morality make sure whatever alternative found is suitable

Where does it bloody end. We, as a club, mainly Oliver, will use grassroots this and that when it suits but if this is what has happened, to make a few extra thousand, it isn’t right. I’d like the club to comment though. It might be a mis-communication.
