See Dan Wishart lines up for Hemel. As for pre match shooting practice, have rarely seen the ball hit so hard by the visitors.

Mighty Stones 1 - Dirty Cheating Bastards 0.
Rarely seen such a bunch of thugs in football strips.
Well done, Stones - bloody heroes today.

Deserved that, especially as we hit the bar twice and rarely gave them a sniff. Not sure how Hemel kept all eleven on the pitch, as the ref was decidedly generous in keeping the red in his pocket. First time this season I've worn my black and amber scarf and we at last win in the league. Nuff said...

Definitely deserved the win but nearly caught a cold at the end. Missing a lot of chances but playing well.
I missed our goal. Sounded a good one?
They were “physical”.
Onwards and upwards

Onwards and upwards Ref was awful second half. First 30 minutes gave us nothing. Last 15 seem to be trying to even it up. What on earth was their Keeper’s yellow for. He might have taken the goal kick a few inches outside the box but a yellow for that seems harsh.

I cannot remember the keeper being warned and if the ball was an inch outside the line where was the advantage? they were losing and having to take the kick again wasted more time. Earlier the keeper handled the ball outside the box and the ref was the only one not to see it - that may have merited a yellow. does anyone know why Fowler was not playing? Suspended or just one yellow from suspension and being saved for next week? And where was Brown? I thought Seaman and Ben Brooks were my candidates for MOM but the whole team played well. Reassuring to read that we are still searching for that goal scorer.

Fowler was ill.
Brown…not sure.
We are certainly pushing up and trying to play in opponents halves a lot more. Whole team is 10 yards further up the pitch than earlier in the season

Ref (and assistants) were awful. Hemel were a bunch of big thugs who set out to physically intimidate, bully and injure our players right from the off. If I could see it from the MS, surely they could too? Their no 14 (I think) was all over Blair every chance he got, Corne was carded for being brought down and then attacked by two or three of their players, and then, later on, he was deliberately, cynically - and very clearly - smacked in the face (again, their no 14, I think), and all their player got was a yellow. Their keeper also caught the ball outside the area (and clearly knew he had) - and got away with it.
A really nasty bunch of thugs. Who, actually, didn't need to resort to such thugery, as they were a pretty good team who gave us a hard game and could easily have equalised.
Hope they go down.
