So its 1,500 plus then. Wonder what H.B.s average attendance The only one that’s not listed in their division on FootballWebPages Average 504 last season. Well above average for their league.

Well other than the result what a complete shambles of a display!
Boring boring football!
We didn’t concede because they were not very good.
That game leaves me completely bewildered about the rest of the season.
We should have dominated that game, but we looked like we should have been in their league!
Sometimes we all joke about being able to do better than a certain player, but oh my God Lodivica is aweful.
I’ve not got the answer, but that’s not my job!

Bold move from George to reduce us to ten men with 20 minutes to go by bringing on Loduvica...

Another dire performance with Stones looking at 2 Ishmian League South East Division clubs. Not great but we're in the final qualifying draw. That's the good bit but another dull and pretty uninspiring effort in truth.

Lodovica, what a disappointment. A big mistake, not even sure he would do much at Ishmian League level, seriously. Yet another below par performance from the Stones. We all look for signs of improvement but it just is not happening. In the draw, we live in hope !

Very very average performance and we could easily have been punished at the death if that shot had hit in the target. Very tepid, uninspiring game. I don't necessarily think we were bad but we definitely weren't good...
I thought Papodopolous was very good. Final third seems to be where everything breaks down for us. Blair livened things up before Ludovica came on and bought the level down even further. Shocking.

Stones were the better team, fair enough, but Blair who run his socks off, needs some help. No more evidence required that the attacking line up is woefully inadequate at NLS level. Come on George, sort it out, before the mucky stuff hits the fan.

I thought we looked low on quality going forward, yesterday and we didn't look threatening. The fact they scored one more than us in our 1-0 away win says it all. The low quality on the pitch was reflected on the terrace because we were very quiet despite a sizeable crowd

The low quality on the pitch was reflected on the terrace because we were very quiet despite a sizeable crowd Said this to my dad. It's been noticeable in the games I've seen this season: crowd has tonnes of energy pre-game and in the first 20 minutes and the performance just sucks all the energy out of the crowd. People were just chatting second half, I don't think we sang once beyond maybe the 50th minute?

There a few things feeding into it in my opinion.
I think there are quite a few playing under their usual levels.
I think there might (hard to know without being on the inside) be almost too much structure and not enough license to just play…a bit of freedom.
Not so much yesterday, but the midfield need to get into the box, get beyond strikers as they generally hang back edge of box. It’s predictable and easier to defend against.
It’s certain that we have the tendency to switch off a bit once we are ahead. A second goal kills that yesterday. We drift in games. Intensity drops and it is hard to turn it around mid game.
I am all for peaking at the business end of the season though like we started to last season.

Putting the game aside, which is easily done, I walked the whole way round the ground looking for the toilets. Having failed with that task, I spotted a queue that looked like people were trying to leave the ground via a field. This turned out to be festival style portaloo toilets. On reflection, my fear now is that CCTV caught me walking round in an 'anticlockwise direction'. Not sure I will get away with returning to Herne Bay.

Just been listening to George's post match interview. He was happy with the result which is fair enough. But he also sounded equally happy with the performance, particularly that the team kept a clean sheet. What ? George you do know that HB are a little club in the South East section of the Ishmian League. The performance was not nearly good enough imo, once again our supporters came close to having their pants bored off. I am not sure if George is happy enough with what's going on with the team at present, or if he doesn't like to admit to deficiencies publicly. But you can only judge him by what he says. I still think this team is short of at least 3 quality players in key positions, mostly in the attacking roles. Until the team gets strengthened, we are likely to continue with some underwhelming performances.

If George is happy with what he sees, nothing will really change, the 2yrs of shit football will continue and the crowds will get smaller and smaller.
