Highlights show the ref got it wrong for both penalties. Ours was (just) outside the area, theirs wasn't a foul at all - the player just fell over. Suspect the ref was looking to level things up after his first mistake, but do two wrongs make a right? See that it was Shaq who go the winner. No idea beforehand because couldn't hear the announcement while KoL couldn't be arsed to do a report either. The highlights don't paint a good picture of big Ludo. Arguable that James Alabi was more mobile and interested. Hopefully he will soon get better. Why would the ref be looking to level things up ? He gave us a pen because he thought it was a pen. If the lino knew it was outside the box, he would have told the ref there and then. Theres no replay for the ref to see. So the ref would have left the Gallagher thinking he gave 2 pens for the right reason.

Agree though, the ref gave both because he thought both were penalties.

Interesting point regarding our penalty, if he’d awarded a free kick he would surely have had to red card the keeper. I believe under current laws you can only issue a yellow card if you also award a penalty unless it’s a handball that prevents a goal.

I notice that Harry our new cf was given the #15 which was Bruno Andrade's shirt. Does this mean he is on the way out? He was the last signing before the season started despite some good performances. Last season he played for 3 sides including Chesham which is unusual.
It is a shame the club do not give more information about injuries - Sam Corne, Ralph Brown. Jordan Higgs, Harry Kypriano.

The law is as you say but to be more exact c if you give a penalty and the player commits the foul on going for the ball, it’s a yellow. So as you say, a handball could be both a red and a penalty as can a trip or block if you aren’t going for the ball
