Might as well…
A test to see if we have turned a corner or if it was just a false dawn.
Hopefully the pressure of playing at home can be over come

Indeed. Our home crowd have often been the 12th man in the team - important in countering the fact that the officials are numbers 12,13 and 14 for the opposition! Stats may prove me wrong, but not sure we've been that good in following a strong away performance with something similar at home. Giving everyone something positive to shout about on Saturday would certainly be a step in the right direction - as would H&R having an off day, but they may well fancy a cup run too. Let's hope so, because an open game usually helps.

If I were H&R I would be sitting deep and playing fast forwards.

All I know is it’s getting impossible to predict the results these days and Stones are like Forrest Gumps box of chocolates.
Im thankful this game is not in the prediction league as it could be anything from an Enfield fuelled 3-0 to Stones to a 0-3 to Hampton with a very dull and nervous 0-0 the most likely.
Crowd could be anything from just under 2k due to previous home performances to nearly 3k hoping for a cup run like last year.
Let’s just see.

Loads not interested in the early rounds, especially with our home form not great at the moment. If we reach the 1st round and get a half decent draw they’ll all come out of the woodwork and start moaning about ticket allocations.

Will be 1600, even with a lower admission price.
Should offer vouchers for when we get drawn against Man City in the 3rd round.
Most seasons are not like last season.

No special arrangements for ST holders to reserve their seats - just turn up and sit there. So they obviously don't expect much of a crowd.
It's the Cup, so totally unpredictable. We could crash and burn, or we could be fired up because of last season's run... I would hope that we'll pick up from where we left off at Enfield, but it's football, so f**k knows.
Personally, I'd like to see Holden given a start - from what little I've seen, he looks OK, and I'm not a fan of Andre, so it would be good to see how Holden does in comparison.
On a slightly bizarre statty sort of note, as I'm hoping to go to Worthing away, if we win Saturday and get another home draw, I could be watching the next four games in a row. In fact, if we get as far as the 1st round and get home draws for all our cup games, I could be watching the next twelve games in sequence, as I'm hoping to go to Dorking. But that would also mean going to Aveley, so I guess that isn't going to happen.
Still, for my two aways so far, it's 100% wins - which is unprecedented in my entire football fan career, so I guess I might end up having to go to Aveley...

Since when has the Town End been divided in half, complete with walk way between the two? Papadopolos and Ludovica straight into the sid, with no sign of Corne, Greenidge on the bench and Andre still in goal. Mmm...

Both penalties looked very soft to me. Ref cancelling out an initial poor decision? Played ok, so far, but big Ludo struggling to get in the game. Usual energy from Blair and Bivesh, but team not sharp enough where it matters.

Well done to the ref who didn't stop bang on 95, as so many would! Or perhaps he lost count...?!

Usual energy from Blair and Bivesh, but team not sharp enough where it matters. I thought ours was a pen. The keeper definitely caught Bentley, the only question was whether it was in the box. Theirs was never a pen in a million years. He slipped and then backed into Smith as he fell to con the ref. Overall I thought the ref, as so many do at the Gallagher, favoured the visitors. The tackle that injured Papadopoulus would have been a yellow all day long if a stones player had made it. As it was the ref didn’t even give free kick and played on until we put the ball out of play. Hope the injury doesn’t keep him out for too long as he was very influential in midfield. The big new striker didn’t impress but maybe just needs time to settle in. I’m certainly not gonna condemn him on the word of one Chelmsford supporter. We deserved the win and how we didn’t score another three in the second half defies logic. H&R threw their bodies in front of everything, I’ve never seen so many last ditch tackles and clearances off the line.

Not to just disagree but I didn’t think the tackle of Paps was a foul at all.
Played ok today. They faded. They were near and tidy. We were wasteful.
We looked better for the subs. Greeniidge and Temi were very good.
