Big crowd trouble at Worksop v Kings Lynn FA Cup tie as drunken Worksop fans attacked the Linnetts behind the the goal at the final whistle it is also rumoured that Worksop players were involved. Reports say that women and children were assaulted during the incident. The replay could well turn nasty if the Linnets want revenge.☹

Sword why do you always get these stories and the MSN media never reports them? Over the years I have built up a network of friends/contacts in the world of non league football that are spread far and wide across the British Isles.I usually get sent text messages if anything interesting occurs and usually get the texts in advance of any media coverage and on this occasion my friend Lyndsey Appleton was in attendance at the game in question. I was told there was no segregation,no police and only two stewards one steward at each end of the ground.

I believe that it's all ticket for away fans and zero tolerance, any away fans in the home end will be immediately ejected from the ground as will any supporter who causes or incites any form of trouble.

That should be lively then, especially if the players were getting involved. A statement has appeared on the King's Lynn website blaming drunkeness. The Wordop fans involved were wearing leather gloves which apparently is the required uniform of local organised thugs. The Worksop players were heard calling the Linnetts fans six fingered, not sure I know the meaning of that insult but could hazard an educated guess at a slang word for wankers. I have checked the Worksop website but as yet there is no mention of the incident.

Is it still regionalised? Yes - still regionalised - split North and South. By my calculations there will be 13 teams from the National league, 10 from National South and 11 others. This is based on Weymouth winning their replay against Winchester, I am assuming Brackley, Kettering and Biggleswade will go North leaving a split of 17 /15 in ties favouring the South as happened last year.

Perhaps it was a good job Gills were at home Saturday? Could have been a very different day with a couple of hundred of bored, pissed Gills fans determined to upset our day.
Speaking of which, we had pissed Gills fans on our train home - going to Tonbridge! Although, judging from their 'conversation', they were more PL fans on a spare Saturday. It was ever thus...

It'll be an insinuation of inbreeding Yeah that makes more sense. East Anglia. In my Upton Park days, if we played Ipswich or Norwich there was always the 'your mother is your sister' chant. Mind you, my sister lives in March, and, from my visits there, I'm left wondering if there's something in this!
