The heading sounds a bit unfair at the moment, with Stones boring the pants off everyone, but BW have not exactly been our favourite opponents over the years. They have started fairly well, following relegation last season, so could be quite a challenge on Saturday. In the circumstances, a 0-0 draw (our preferred result it seems) would be decent, though this would only prolong our forwards inability to score. Small mercies maybe?

I think it’s fair to assume we will be bored at Boring Wood pretty safely.

I think it’s fair to assume we will be bored at Boring Wood pretty safely. Boring Wood are so called because they are a boring club with a good team that is NL really. We are a good club with a boring team that is barely NLS right now. A good team will always beat the boring one. But with a George rocket up everyone’s rear ends who knows? I’m still going 2-0 to the Woodentops over the Flintstones ( or should it be Winstones for those old enough to remember that mascot?).

Anyone know if it will be segregated?
Their website says all national league fixtures will be segregated but it looks like this info hasn't been updated since they went down.

Are there any pubs near the ground for a pre-match quaff of ale?

Who thinks we will use the same tactics of hoofing the ball forward to our shorter (than defenders) strikers and expect a different outcome than our last 4 games?

Does anyone know whether Boreham Wood falls within the ULEZ zone.

Are there any pubs near the ground for a pre-match quaff of ale? There is the Alfred Arms an The Pick and Shovel on the walk from the station, the usual meet up in the Wetherspoons cannot happen as it has been closed permanently. There is one more pub but I can't remember it's name.

Just browsing clubs I like and fascinating to see Folkestone get bigger home crowds than Boringwood. How do they survive with such a disinterested fan base?

I'm not sure of the exact arrangement but I think they get a large proportion of their revenue from hosting Arsenal women. An arrangement that may soon be coming to an end if rumours are to be believed.

Well the bookies have Boring Wood as firm favourites at 2/3 with the mighty🤣 Stones way out at 10/3 with the draw at 11/4. I was going to this game but it seems i have cursed the coach which is now not running. I may still go by train but its a tidy walk from the station to the ground and the Swordy legs might not be able to handle it plus its likely to be a tad warm. I will research possible buses from the station and then make my mind up on Saturday morning. I wouldn't normally go to the game as i detest the club and its wanker of a chairman and i seriously object to giving them my money but with my participation now firmly on a part time basis i have to bite the bullet and go to the ones i can easily get to. As for the game i think we'll get tonked and George will get the wake up call he desperately needs.
