Obviously he has not recovered from that terrible injury ,its a shame but these things happen.

Very sad. He was brilliant for us - some of my most enjoyable moments at JWW. Obviously that injury was much worse than we thought. Such a shame to see a promising career cut so short. All the best to him for the future.
And, yes, to me, a Stones legend.

I can't imagine Folkestone are overly happy about this happening so late in pre season though, going to be hard to get a suitable replacement now.

He retired on his terms. Good luck to him. The most entertaining player ever to play home games at the Gallagher. |

He posted some vague suggestion to it a few weeks back on Instagram which makes a lot more sense now - I did wonder at the time if he'd moved back to Spain or retired, so I assume he let them know a few weeks ago and they agreed a date to announce it or the contract was only recently nullified. What a player though - genuinely someone who could take your breath away at this level. I think everyone has a favourite Luque memory. |
