Finally, the Genco will be all Maidstone and the end of that dreadful segregation barrier.
This is great news.

Close he north turnstile and only open for exit. Barrier at club house end of TE stand and behind it, Home fans use turnstiles at clubhouse end and away use the riverside turnstiles. Having just watched Terry’s update it all seems very positive. I don’t see the need to close the north turnstiles as they can be used by home fans. Interesting to see where the new exit will be. I’m guessing to the north of the river side and will be where away fans exit when segregated. I’m guessing the abandoned road by the flats, as suggested on here, and as seems to be where it has been opened up in the film.

Good news. Terry was of the same mind set as me, where he thought behaviour could and should be modified but "they have listened" so we will see how it all works out. Some wont be happy but more will be. Who wont be happy ?

Theres a few supporters who only stand in the town end because it's close to the bar, and they've been quite vocal about how they don't want to go in the Genco.

Some wont be happy but more will be. Who wont be happy ? Some town end regulars have complained they will have to move, but it’s only three or four games per season. Obviously every game if promoted. I would still like to see the drum moved to one edge at the opposite end of the terrace to where away fans tend to congregate. You could even build them a little platform at the front for drummers, conductors and dad dancers with their backs to the football.

Can’t see the away segregation being the whole of the town end either. More likely half

Can’t see the away segregation being the whole of the town end either. More likely half They clearly don't want home and away fans right next to each other, so they will get the entire town end and there will be proper segregation fences. The town end has a similar capacity to what we currently allocate away fans.

I’ll genuinely be amazed if this is the case

Giving the whole of the TE to away support makes sense for the use of the GENCO obviously but a perhaps unintended benefit is that any yoof who want to try and stir up problems won't have the relative safety afforded by the numbers in the GENCO and thus may be more identifiable for getting ejected. Anyway it's good to get clarity on how things are moving along and a recognition of the dissatisfaction among us at the way it had been going. Good also to not hear the Council getting blamed.

One of the other big takeaways was that they’ll only be 3 or 4 segregated games so we can look forward to it being proper non league again

There will be some who find something to moan about. There always are. Well I think its great news. Terry almost seemed a little saddened as I get the impression that it was supporter mis-behaviour that has been the main driver for change. I understand that as a single driver but I honestly believe there are many other benefits to locating prime facilities and home support mainly at the Genco end. I bet within a season or so people will wonder why the club didn't do it in the first place. Looking forward to an even better experience at the Gallager. THANKYOU Terry and Oliver !
