Except that fan movement in frint of 5he Main Stand from ine end to the other is easy enough. I would have thought that all the facility premises down the town-end are fairly easily moved, they wern't exactly created to stand there for the next 50 years. So where would you put them then.

If away fans were relocated to the TE the area under the Genco could be further developed to replace the facilities at the TE

Probably jumping the gun crowman. No signs that the club is intending to do anything that radical. Its' thinking is probably more in sympathy with daveu's. We shall see, but don't hold your breathe, that can lead to asphyxiation. I hope I'm wrong but just can't see the club giving it a priority.

Well we already give them one of the best views in an area that is never congested. But we need to consider all fans, not just those in the Genco. No point solving one problem to introduce a different one. Surely the away fans would just have access to the facilities they currently have, just move some stuff about as it all looks fairly mobile. Would just need to put a toilet block somewhere near the corner of the riverside/town end and it can be sorted. Here's to hoping anyway!

Also doesn’t address the problem of 2000 fans entering and exiting through the two turnstiles at the north end while a few hundred have the 6 at the town end. I’m not against this in principle but there are a lot of things to be considered and it’s nowhere near as simple as some people think it is. My fear is that we’ll end up with some cobbled together solution that isn’t satisfactory for anyone, like away fans getting the town end but somehow using the north end turnstiles for example.

There would be a new path put in behind the current riverside fence so away fans can walk all the way round the back of the genco end, and have 2 new turnstyles up that end. The land is all there, so it wouldnt be too much messing about. Its a possibility, unlikely I know, but still possible.

Whete there's a will there's a way.
Not convinced there's much of a will.

Surely it's time for the greater crested newt to put in an appearance and stop all work anyway.

Terry just confirmed that we're going to use the town end to segregate away fans.

Close he north turnstile and only open for exit. Barrier at club house end of TE stand and behind it, Home fans use turnstiles at clubhouse end and away use the riverside turnstiles.

Having just watched Terry’s update it all seems very positive. I don’t see the need to close the north turnstiles as they can be used by home fans. Interesting to see where the new exit will be. I’m guessing to the north of the river side and will be where away fans exit when segregated.

Sounds positive. You’ll probably see a lot more entering and exiting via the current away turnstiles - which should reduce pedestrian congestion through car park. Would also mean main stand can exit without waiting for the players to get off the pitch.
Interesting to see what’s happening with the facilities - iirc the town end model is easily moved & extended so could end up with segregation behind the town end - giving visitors the toilets, burger van In corner and possible bar. With new food outlets at the genco Makes sense as much of the support is there.
Fingers crossed it works out

Good news. Terry was of the same mind set as me, where he thought behaviour could and should be modified but "they have listened" so we will see how it all works out. Some wont be happy but more will be.
