I really don't see any situation where we would outgrow a 6-7000 capacity Gallagher stadium. Even if by some miracle we ever got to League 1 we still wouldn't be close to averaging 6000-7000.

Gillingham averaged 6436 in the 4th division, but have more than double our population.
We could probably hope for 3000+ as a moderately successful EFL club.

Not according to here... linkMaidstone at 107k. Gillingham at 101k. Depending on where you look all these clubs are similar in population to Maidstone. Blackburn, Peterborough, Huddersfield and loads more

The whole population leading to attendance extrapolation doesn’t really work

The population of the Medway Towns is the Gillingham catchment area, which is a tad under 300,000.

We can assume there are many more people within a five mile radius of Gillingham than Maidstone. It’s why they are usually two levels above us. neal.fun/asteroid-launcher/Try this and see how many people you can vaporise with an asteroid.

I see that there some groundwork under way in the strip of land riverside that the club acquired from the council and was cleared two or three years ago.

It’s their money and club and they don’t us a single explanation about anything, but they could really build some excitement and maybe boost season ticket sales by sharing some project news beyond replacing the knackered old pitch. New toilet block? Segregation? Catering? Anything?

Probably the club panicking over the tree wankers getting a free view. Or maybe a hige net to catch the balls to stop contaminating the river

How much do match footballs cost and how long do they last? For example does it have to be a new one every game? Hope not, but given that two or three balls regularly end up over the Riverside fence each game - and sometimes more - then netting might save some money. Probably rules about birds flying in to it though. Not a good advert if it becomes festooned with rotting pigeon and gull carcasses...

The Gulls need to be culled anyway, they cause mayhem in parkwood, they shit on every car in every carpark.
