Yes, a medical emergency to a fan up in the stands. I hope they are going to be ok.

Let's face it, we had that coming for not carrying on as we did in the first half. Welling had done sod all up to that point.

Oh dear. When are we going to learn? Fair dues to Welling, who kept going, despite being out played for long periods and then took their (only?) chance when it was presented. Don't think Lucas had anything to do otherwise. Really wasteful given all the chances and possession we had, especially as Chelmsford contrived to lose at relegated Dover. How can Lamar look so good in the final 10 minutes at Eastbourne and out of his depth today? Saw very little of the game from the Town End today. All at the Genco End, both halves, which shows how little we created after the break.

We played as well first half as we didn’t in the second. Their keeper had a blinder otherwise we would have been home and hosed. As Jay says, just one of those.
As for Lamar, he is inconsistent. Fridays game was the exception and Against a tiring 9 men. Needs to show his ability more often.

Agreed but that often happens in football if you don't take your chances when in the ascendency as happened first half you usually pay the price. We should have been out of sight first half. Having said that their keeper did well albeit with a little bit of luck. Important this doesn't affect the players confidence as all to play for in terms of playoff places and the games come thick and fast now.

I think we all know the answer.

Why was Joe Ellul subbed so early?

Why was Joe Ellul subbed so early? Probably because of his lack of pace, he was playing so deep that he was being isolated and playing our forwards on side

Excellent first half apart from finishing ,dreadfully devoid of any ideas second half . We have no klller instinct when we get a lead can’t put teams to bed ( Eastbourne 9 men exception ) Lamar much better of the bench not starting. Bentley why bother what does he offer the team nothing we haven’t seen thousand time before Gurung lots endeavour no quality need a new face there , what happened to new signing Need Agyepong back or Klass for Gurung Play off yes , winner’s doubtful !

One thing I noticed yesterday day was how, in the first half at least, players seemed to regularly swap positions all over the pitch. At the kick off, Bentley was on the right wing, Greenidge was playing right back and Fowler left centre, with Chi on the left wing. The latter mainly stayed there, but popped up on the right occasionally, with Greenidge mostly on the left of defence. Corne was all over the pitch, as usual. The guy has quite an engine. The mobility worked well in the first half, but wonder if the concentration required to keep switching can hold out over 90 minutes? Hadn't realised until he was subbed, that Joe Ellul was playing for them. Clearly got the run around from Rush, so not surprised he was taken off and maybe the change was the start of us becoming less effective? Speaking of which, Mo Faal hasn't done much of late and never threatened when he came on yesterday either. Fowler on the other hand showed he is more than good enough at this level. George has had to ring the changes a lot this season. Covolan has been an ever present, but not sure anyone else has. Can't have been many sequences of games where we have fielded a settled side at any part of the season.

Never known us beat a Rod Stringer side. Always seemed to get the better of us at Chelmsford and now despite the best first half for ages he’s got the measure of us at Welling. Frustrating but Chelmsford’s result means second is still up for grabs.

Thought first half was a very good performance, but you just knew at half time we’d regret not taking all those golden chances.
Second half we seemingly stopped playing football that had been successful so far and starting hoofing it, so frustrating.
Thought Lamar was really poor, all well and good coming off the bench to score a hat trick against 9 men when they’ve run out of steam. But absolutely can’t do it from the start. One to be moved on next season for sure. Bivesh is totally off the place, slow to everything so it’s no one he picks up so many cards.
Limited their chances throughout the afternoon and it was actually a decent defensive display, but didn’t once look like really scoring the second half.
Just wish we had a proper old school midfielder who can do the simple things and read the game well.
