I'm sure we all recall the many Stones supporters insisting that Luque be offered a new contract despite injury concerns.
How well has he done at Worthing this season ?
Do supporters know better than the team manager ?

I think George is more ruthless and ambitious than managers we’ve have before… doesn’t show any undeserving loyalty to players so you’d imagine he’ll have no issues getting rid of those not up to scratch.
For me the biggest one is Sol, think there’s a really talented player in there - and probably one of the few that ability wise is good enough for the NL. But no point signing players that are never available to play.
Fwiw I’d keep: Corne, Covolan, Fowler, Rush and Faal for next season. Maybe Greenidge, Bone (Tanga if we could keep him) but that’s probably about it. A good core of the squad imo

I wonder if MICHAEL KLASS wil still be with us next season. The next month is a trial in a way. I think when Corne looked injured at the weekend, George realised we are particularly light in that department .

And now we wait! Another season in the NLS is far from the end of the world as George’s project enters the next phase.

Well, Covolan will be gone, so we'll need a new keeper. No way we can hold on to him without promotion

“I’m not panicking yet but….”
“The best players have all gone, we are choosing from players no one wants…”
“The budget is XYZ”
Get ready

I trust George understands that he needs to ensure that all player departures and signings are vetted and approved by this forum.

I think everyone just wants as much business done before we even get anywhere near August. Instead of the last minute scramble to plug any holes with the dribs n drabs of whats left on the market.

To a certain extent it took George quite a while to assemble the squad we had at the end. Quite a few misses in the transfer market. You’d like to think we will be (and don’t hate me) learning from our mistakes.

You're probably right but lets not forget that Lucas was a v late signing so there are last minute bargains to be had.

He spent all pre season with Chesterfield, and only became available at the last minute because Chesterfield signed another keeper. Most Chesterfield fans were actually expecting him to be staying with them.
