They are a bit of a fighty bunch eh? i can’t remember so many yellow cards for needless fouls (for the opposition). Superb goal for their equaliser.
Crowd and Borough management team have been on the refs back all game… they seemed to have been angry from the first minute. it’s not a friendly reception!

Can't argue with their equaliser - straight into the top left corner, like a bloody rocket!
Since then, you wouldn't know we were 11 v 10. George needs to sort this out. Before their goal, we looked comfortable. Need to win this.

Eastbourne down to nine and, eventually we make them pay via a nine minute hat trick from Lamar.

Can only beat what’s in front of you. I was sat next to their manager who clearly has a victim mindset… complaining from minute one. He even called the linesman a cheat.
Delighted with that win.

Amazingly weird game. Eastbourne are going to be feeling very pissed off about that - especially the ref.
But I'll take 5-1, thank you very much!
Why Lamar doesn't start is beyond me. But in George we trust!

But in George we trust! I would assume it’s managing his minutes after the injury… definitely looks ready to start now though!

I can’t really see how they are down in the bottom 4. They looked quite good before the implosion.

Convincing win in the end but it would have been embarrassing if we hadn't dispatched the 9 men. I agree with Jdl about Reynolds, would like to see him start more, he's an exciting player to watch. I don't think they can complain about the ref. Admittedly I couldn't see the first pen decision as opposite end but they can't complain about bookings and reds, 1st half they were persistently fouling, getting in refs ear and the 2nd red was definitely a dangerous challenge. Feel sorry for the Eastbourne fans they were let down by their team today. Big crowd, no segregation and no aggro ( to my knowledge) so will miss this away day. Hoping they beat Darts Monday and somehow manage to stay up but not looking likely after today.

Eastbourne supporters are moaning about the clown (ref).
They reckon he got the result he wanted.

How come Eastbourne manage unsegregated matches for crowds over 2,000 ?
No aggro, lots of banter and a good day out.
We're told that our local plod and Council dictate what the club does.
Really ?

Eastbourne supporters are moaning about the clown (ref). They reckon he got the result he wanted. He was horribly inconsistent, both ways, and very nearly lost control at least once. We were very lucky not to get more yellows (I think we got one?), perhaps even a red. Not because we did too much to deserve them, but because you never knew what that ref was going to do next. Eastbourne did deserve a few yellows, and probably a red, but having two men sent off was a bit OTT. They were a bit out of order and a few of the tackles were suspect, especially the number of times Tanga was hacked down, but I've seen much worse sides get away without any reds at all. Had to feel for Eastbourne, they didn't really deserve to go down 5-1. We weren't really able to take advantage of the sending off, and Eastbourne continued to press, then that goal (which is a highlights must-see) really lifted them up, and I was beginning to think 1-1 would be a fair result, and even worrying that we might conceded again. Before Reynolds came on, we didn't look remotely like scoring again. In fact, even when they went down to nine, we still didn't seem able to take advantage of it. But our second, more or less put an end to Eastbourne's resistance, and the introduction of Lamar changed the game entirely. As someone else says above, it's difficult to understand how Eastbourne are in the bottom 4, I've seen far worse teams this season. I hope they manage to escape the drop. Lovely club too - good food in the clubhouse (beer not so good, but better than the dire selection served up in our clubhouse), friendly staff and fans, no segregation, no trouble - not even anger directed at away fans (and to some extent justified) - a real old-school non-league ground. I wish more away-days were like this (even without the result). And why can't our clubhouse be more like theirs? They are basically the same thing - a large, basically plain room, with a bar down one side - but such different places to spend an hour or two in.

Firstly, we watched George go over to introduce himself and shake hands with all of the dugout- some of the bench clearly knew him but that manager was indifferent towards him. You can lead a horse…
Then, when the game started so did the hobby manager. It soon got worse when things went against him and he almost got sent off. It was if he was wishing it.
The general behaviour of the Eastbourne players was a direct reflection of the manager. As is ours. My guess is the manager won’t be there for much longer. A few of their players were good, but need to be fulfilled.
