The side had a distinct NLS look about it and despite some efforts it was all very inevitable that the game would be lost.
As for the refereeing, I didn't see some of the incidents mentioned but we seem to have a season-long belief that everything would have been alright if it wasn't for the pesky officials - so what if it wasn't a corner, that doesn't mean you won't bother defending, as with Wrexham, Dorking, etc.
We've simply not been good enough, either individually or collectively and I feel this has actually been a far worse season thah JS-HW-JS/HH. At the end we had four (or was it five?) on-loan players on the pitch, two of whom had arrived the other day. Given the amount of players used, I find it incredible that we're in the position of asking other teams for players to make up the team.
The crowd - it took far less than the usual 20-25 minutes to get a coffee, so there's no way there was over 2,000 people there.
Lastly, walking back to town and having numerous youths run past me starting fights wasn't a great experience. Part of me feels that the Genco youth squad spend seemingly the entire game goading the opposition fans so it was their own fault they came up against some away fans who did seek them out afterwards, and part of me feels annoyed with the club for allowing this situation game after game.
All in all, I can't wait for the season to end and am wondering whether not to buy a season ticket for the first time in many years.

Well, at least Jay's record of 17 league games without a win has now been broken. The difference between that record and this one is that under JS we actually deserved to win some of the games in that run. In this one, other than perhaps Wrexham, I don't think we've looked like winning.

Does anybody actually believe that somebody down the club is inflating the figures ? A good Woking following helped yesterday. STH's mat have paid their money but there's quite a few not bothering to support the team these days and finding alternative events on a Saturday afternoon. Doesn't bode well for next season

Away for the weekend, so will be interested to see the highlights. Shame to hear about crowd issues and now very much thinking that George isn't interested in results, but that every game is now a pre season friendly to try combinations, assess attitudes and so on. If so, good - it can only help us hit the ground running next season. Assuming recruitment is better than this one of course... When you look at all the loans we've had, a squad of no more that 18-22 should be plenty and we could then pay decent wages to attract decent players as well.

And no way was that crowd well over 2,000. 2187 - 432 away fans = 1755. Town end was very empty. I predicted 1801 fifteen minutes before kick off. Certainly very low based on my usual counting metrics such as visibility of crush barriers, depth of crowd at touch lines, main stand no shows etc. Suppose it’s possible when you allow for absent season ticket holders. The club would have no incentive to exaggerate numbers due to the taxman. I suspect the taxman is the reason absent st holders have to be counted.

Don't be "interested", you'll end up annoyed, wound up and wish you hadn't bothered, is it really worth it? 😂😂

For all the moaning that the corner for their second goal shouldn't have been a corner, Stones TV footage makes it look like Jerome touched the ball before it went out of play anyway.
We can moan about officials all we like, but the defending for both of Woking's goals was shocking, Amond had so much space.

When I walked by maidstone east station at around 13.40 yesterday, there was already a crowd of woking fans surrounded by police who were making a load of noise and shouting out "who the f**k do you think you are" and shouting out to any Maidstone fan "w**keep!" As they walked along by county hall

Although it must be said, we have plenty of our own who are used to dishing out abuse but not getting any in return. Our ground layout is also the worst possible for preventing trouble. And the police in the ground appear to be little more than ornaments, garden gnomes, standing on the steps doing nothing.

I have two memories of my last visit to Woking - how bloody cold it was, and the animals penned up in their home end. I lived through the 70s and 80s, so I'm not a virgin where football violence is concerned, but that experience was truly worrying. There weren't a lot of stewards around to stop them getting out if they really wanted to.
Let them get promoted - then at least we won't have to play them again for a while. And when we do next play them, they'll have eaten a large slice of humble pie, so hopefully most of their idiots will have gven up and gone back to 'supporting' a PL club.

So, the highlights suggest we created very little, apart from a decent goal, while both their goals looked preventable. Plenty of robust challenges by Woking ( I think they used to be called fouls) went unpunished too. Same old same old... However, this was one of those games when I thought we might get stuffed, so maybe we are making progress? Not getting thrashed by Bromley and BW may go some way to proving that, but a win seems some way off still.

We actually created quite a lot, but the final touch in the box was too often simply not good enough. I can think of at least three chances that went begging because the ball in was a fraction overhit, or the first touch of the recipient wasn't quite right. Very fine margins indeed but we could easily have scored four.
