Not much between bottom and third. If we had played with as much urgency for the last 20 minutes as we did for the last two, we could have got something. We know it’s rubbish right now, but NLS is looking a good prospect.

Some Woking fans think they’ll bring 500. Not far off and mostly utter scum who threw flares into the home fans and tried to storm the segregation barrier at the end.

Their fans were twats clearly.
Also, if you spend most of the game goading them, sometime they will take you up on the offer. So maybe a lesson learnt?

The ball was clearly over the line for their 1st Their first came about because the ref put his whistle to his mouth to award us a free kick, then decided to play advantage. But the momentary pause expecting the whistle meant the advantage had gone and they regained possession. He should have pulled it back and awarded the free kick at that point. The second came from a corner that was clearly a goal kick to everyone in the ground apart from the ref and two linesmen. Add to that the number of times the thug in central defence got away with elbows and wrestling moves and you have to say we were absolutely robbed. I've rarely left a game feeling so angry with the officials.

Well, I went after all, and I'm glad that I did. I haven't enjoyed a game that much for ages. OK, we lost, but we were up against a monied-up club with EFL standard players. But we scored first and only went down to a very late, and highly dubious, goal (it wasn't a corner). I was proud of our players and the effort (and talent) on display today. The result may look to neutrals like what you would expect from such a game, but the actual game was much better.
My only complaint (apart from - as usual - the ref) was the substitutions. George may have had good reasons for the subs he made, but from my perspective, taking off our best player when he did effectively meant we weren't going to score any more, and the other two subs (unless Brown was injured?) were pointless. The new 20 looked like he might be useful - if we could ever get the ball to him, but the new 17 should have stayed on the bench, he has a bit of pace, but is otherwise too lightweight and clueless. Even B-W looked off-pace and uncomfortable. We ended up effectively two or three men short, against a side who were going to score, given the slightest opportunity. If a side is playing well, leave it alone - you don't have to use your subs.
And Woking fans turning out to be mindless thugs? What else did anyone expect? I'd be quite glad never to have to play them again.

And no way was that crowd well over 2,000.

Saw it live - and don't wish to see it again. Every single one of them (including all the Woking idiots that ran down to join in) should be banned for life. They have no place in our game. Given it was Woking and the importance of this game to them, I don't understand why such trouble wasn't foreseen and prepared for. There were enough coppers around, some of them should have been in the Genco.

Shocking substitutions. Don't tell me Shonibaar was injured because he sprinted from the pitch!
Ref also got every big decision wrong. Hope we don't see him at the Gallagher again.
Excellent games from Brown, Booty and Shonibaar.
The 2 new strikers looked Isthmian South standard.

And no way was that crowd well over 2,000. On second thoughts, with 432 Woking supporters, the actual home crowds was only 1,755, which seems more like it - especially when you consider that ST holders are counted, whether there or not. Assuming 600 ST holders, and that - judging by the gaps in the MS - at least a third of them didn't attend, that gives a more realistic actual home crowd of nearer 1,500.

Luckily the police on overtime sprang into action at the first sign of trouble. Oh wait. No, they just stood on the exit stairs doing nothing, as usual. In fairness, they did do a lap of the pitch at halftime.

And no way was that crowd well over 2,000. 2187 - 432 away fans = 1755. Town end was very empty. I predicted 1801 fifteen minutes before kick off. Certainly very low based on my usual counting metrics such as visibility of crush barriers, depth of crowd at touch lines, main stand no shows etc. Suppose it’s possible when you allow for absent season ticket holders. The club would have no incentive to exaggerate numbers due to the taxman.
