But, but, all we needed to do was sack Hakan and everything would be fine. If we had appointed a proper manager and actually tried to stay up maybe things would be different, but no we went with the cheap inexperienced manager and just gave up even trying to stay up with 20 games left. Now 11 points from safety, and all I can do is laugh about this shambles.

So now we should sack George as well?

So now we should sack George as well? When did I say we should sack him?? We're relegated now, so I'm all for just letting him see out the season, but we certainly shouldn't be appointing him for next season.

Not good enough at the dark arts. Eastleigh are masters of them, well on top until two fake injuries killed our momentum. Up to that point only one team looked like winning, but their delaying tactics turned the game around. Dare I say it, we need to learn to cheat like everyone else. Sol should have come on earlier. Made a big difference but not long enough to have a real impact. Won the penalty and could, maybe should have had another. Weak defending for both their second half goals and possibly a keeping error for the first. Having said all that, for the majority of the game we were decent but it all counts for nothing if you don't take your chances.

So now we should sack George as well? Well, with so many of the fans leaving with 20 mins to go, I dont blame them for that- It was a shocking 2nd half performance and it wasnt all the Refs fault...It reminded me of when the Clown went and Walton n Co took over as joint player/managers and the seanson just ended.... As for George- Hes given it his best shot and after seeing at least 4 players slagging each other, we are doomed. Still, if you dont invest, what more can you expect, given the oppositions strength .The owners have been fairly absent all thie season- i dont think ive seen Oliver once.

We should have won 3-1 but we didn’t. Sigh.

A new manager with a bit of backing, maybe. I actually think we would have been much better off keeping Hak too. This course of action we have taken was probably the worse thing we could have done. If we could have played Sandford, Jobe, Greenridge, JBW, Lawson, Booty, Galvin, Corne, Deacon, Barham, Sol all season, we would have been ok!

Everyone has their own opinions, but I don't think Corne & Booty have looked at all good this season, they've had too many poor performances. Which is a shame because last summer they were the 2 from our NLS squad that I thought would easily make the step up.

I think they've lost interest. They'd given us 10 years, Terry and Bill wanted to retire, Oliver was busy in France (and I suspect Brexit has made it difficult to keep on top of things over here). They didn't know what to do when last season's hero turned out to be inept at NL level, so they did nothing. Then a potential new investor finally appeared and they jumped at the opportunity. He sussed out straightaway that Hak needed to go, so off he went. But then so too did the new investor, leaving T&O still in charge, and still not knowing what to do - and with no extra money. Plus by now, having seen their hopes rise, and then be dashed, they were even less interested in running the club. Which is where we are now. And where we'll stay until someone comes in at the top and takes charge.

They really did themselves no favours in the summer Terry saying we had a budget good enough to finish top 10 and both owners saying they had learnt from all our mistakes when we were last at this level and that we would do it right this time. www.kentonline.co.uk/maidstone/sport/casey-we-know-what-it-takes-267004/They couldn't have been more wrong, everything they said aged terribly.

All but relegated,I've done the maths and the probability factors and our chances of survival is now just 2.8% but should Sarfend Go bust then only 3 go down then our chances rise once again to 7.4%. This does not take into account points lost if Sarfend's record is expunged. I would rather go down than see a club fold.

I suspect Brexit has made it difficult to keep on top of things over here That’s quite a stretch. Maidstone United returning to the National League South due to Brexit.

Credit where it is due - the players kept going to the end and on another day we might have won easily. Highlights give a slightly false impression because essentially the first ten minutes or so we're good then Eastleigh gradually took over though 0-0 at half time would have been a fairer reflection, but we have the first of our obligatory gifts. Barden or defenders? Whatever... Second half we had that purple patch. Could have scored three and maybe had up to three penalties, but then as daveu says, they cleverly/synically stopped the game and it sucked the life out of us. The ultimate route one goal (long punt, one touch, smash) gave them an undeserved lead, which we then kindly doubled, yet we still might have salvaged a draw. Oh well... George's latest post match interview strongly suggests he has no hopes of surviving the drop, but is trying his best to keep the players' heads up - probably all he can do in the circumstances. However, Alabi has had two goes now and needs to be moved on, with Barham going back to centre forward and Sol playing on the left wing from the start. We had a go last night, so let's see more of that to the end of the season and maybe, just maybe, piss on a few parades.
