Didn’t we collude with Tonbridge a few years ago to bring forward a KSC tie so as to clear a player’s suspension before a big match? I believe it was Jack Parkinson. We put out a weakened side in return for them agreeing to move the game forward. They stuffed us but then got thrown out for playing an ineligible player. Indeed, this came up the other day on another thread. There is no doubt that KSC games do count towards a suspension.

Interestingly, the long term weather forecast for Tonbridge says the game on the 15th Feb will not take place because of heavy snow.Hmmm!

Not laughable really, it's simply because it's an FA competition and they take priority over all other competitions.

Good sign that Hak got the right reaction from the team at HT…they would have also known the first half was not how we have been getting results. It will happen throughout the season and it’s hard to play to 100%week after week. Rotation will be important But for 23 minutes of the second half we were as bad as the first half so the whole reaction to h/t bollocking is nonsense, on a windy day we were lumping the ball to a great big lummox and we were clueless, the person who should have been moaned at at half time was Hak himself for chosing the aerial route to a centre forward who was as mobile as me.Anyway we got it right in the end and that is all that matters. 'as mobile as me' 🤣🤣🤣

First impression is: what a lot of caravans! Am sure the highlights will have painted a slightly rosy picture of Bettamer, given that he won the penalty (dubious to me), hit the post and had a couple of other chances too. No doubt that Pattisson changed things though. Took his goal really well, given he can snatch at shots, but perhaps he needs to keep his hair up in future?🤫😁. Certainly worked for him this time. Concord really fell apart after that, so great to see a ruthless streak coming through as in the past we might have been happy with 3-1. Goal difference could be crucial come the end of the season. Deacon took his goals really well and certainly not offside for the last. On to Barff on Saturday. Is that two Fs or three? Where I come from there is no R either, but either way keep the momentum going lads.

Any idea on the attendance at this one? Didn't hear anything at the game and haven't spotted anything on Twitter. Seemed like there were more of us than there were them!
On the game, we really turned it on 2nd half - Roarie Deacon stood out for me and had a very decent game. We have such a decent squad at this point, we can afford 1 or 2 players to be out or try to change system if things aren't working. Lovely stuff.

Attendance 601. What % was away fans? They have an average attendance in the league of 382 according to Football Web Pages. Felt we probably had 200+ easily there which would make sense. Highlights show our fans behind the goal in the 2nd half, we had a decent following.

Yes a definite penalty, it was noticeable that Concord didn't protest. It was unfortunate for them in that it was an accidental (clumsy) kick but the referee didn't have any choice but to give it. With two strikers coming in on loan and Barham first choice when fit, Pattison needed to contribute something and he did, in emphatic style - fair play to him for that. I can understand why Hak chose the tactics he did - heavy pitch, physical opposition so put a big man up front and try a bit of route one. It didn't work, plan was changed and we won comfortably so it's all good. Bettamer is a bench option, best used if you're behind with 20 minutes left and you want a bulldozer but I wouldn't experiment with starting him again, even on a mudheap. We're a very good 'footballing' side, we don't need to resort to hoofball unless all else has failed in a match.

Bettamer's taken a lot of stick, but remember, it's his first game after a lengthy spell out, and on a heavy pitch. He wasn't responsible for the tactics, or the way the rest of the team played, and what's more, he was only playing because Barham picked up a knock. It's unlikely he'll end up as first choice for many games but let's at least give him a chance before getting the knives out.

Highlights show our fans behind the goal in the 2nd half, we had a decent following. When you consider their average would have been greatly boosted by 750+ attendances from both near neighbours Billericay and Chelmsford who would have bought a good following themselves then I would say from what I saw on the terraces we had more than half the attendance 300+
