At the meeting a few months back when asked if we would still be full-time in the National South, Bill said the plan was to stay as we are. Well if you think 3 mornings a week is full time I want your job. We all know we ain't proper full-time, the only people really claiming that are the owners. Anyway as far as I've heard none of our players have another job but football and I remember reading that Dover had their players on full time contracts even when they were only training 2 nights a week.....so pay at National League level must be at least half decent.

This is the same for college students as well.

I'm sure it is once you've earned a certain amount you start to get taxed.

Well at least that is settled. Always felt that the idea we would always get 'better quality and highly motivated players by offering lower wages and evening coaching', was at least very questionable. Glad that the club is giving the right signals in terms of looking forward. What you're forgetting Nick (at least according to some) is that by going back to evening training and lower wages we will attract players with "pashun and hunger" What, unlike the ones we got with higher wages and morning training

3 mornings a week, with that being two mornings when there is a Tuesday match!! Compare that to two evenings a week and I presume one evening when there was a Tuesday game! The Big issue of being part time and having players with jobs in the National league was the travel to every end of the country! Next year our travel will be much less.
With the difference of contact time with players being so little for me it appears that part time evening should be better! We lost Flisher and Mills because of that change and we have become steadily worse since the change!
I would love to have Flish and Mills back for the NLS next season, but it ain’t going to happen!

Your point is correct but after euther 2-3 years they can be re-assigned again. I cannot recall if the precise period but this is now their second in NLS.

I am pretty sure if needed the FA will find a way to stitch them up, a small print loophole somewhere on page 249 subsection D4 paragraph 2.

My thoughts entirely. They aren’t even one of our favourite NLS opponents like Hamlet or Darts. Back to the relegation question that’s all around the squad for next year. Have we really got to wait until after season ends before we hear anything but who goes and stays?
Looks like yes, which is painfully dragging out a very long and painful season even more painfully.
